Why isn't there some reward for taking hits for the team and leading a push or something?

The poke and hide meta makes me hate playing assaults, everyone just wants to do a 2-step-hill-hump dance.

I am playing pugs mostly, and it is like the FLAKIEST croissant.
When we go to push everyone will just run back after seeing something leaving the heavies up to die.
