It isn't the way everybody should do things, but for me I think this is the best approach to account for not knowing in advance.

You're right. I hope PGI goes out of business and the MatchMaker autonomously fixes itself once there are no more humans getting in the way.

Want to ask, which are the hero mechs that die die you should get (if a person <me> is willing to spend).
I have the X5, FB and BH2.
Looking to get the -
Grey Death
Black Widow
IV-Four
Any other heroes that perform top of their chassis (and their chassis is good)?
Is the Huggin and Oxide worth getting? Any other heroes worth getting?

Well, I can personally recommend the Huggin. Rock that bird quite often and it's just a Shredder, IF you fancy getting in close and personal with a Light. Wouldn't recommend it (or Oxide) if you're not comfortable with a more brawly Light style but yeah, Huggin is a fantastic hero (IMHO).
Oxide. (insert long sigh and longing sadness).
Well, Once upon a time it was my one and true love and ride. I was one of those that didn't make the archtype change well. you don't see her on the field near as much as the old days, and I find it's pretty easy to splash now. We have one in our group that still runs it and does really solid putting up damn good scores but I'll leave it to others to give better recommendations due to it falling off the table for me (oh.. I WILL figure out and adapt to it... just haven't had the willingness to commit the learning time yet)

Couldn't agree more about the huggin. Generally criticised and considered inferior to the oxide but easily my favourite mech. Great straight out of the box.
I've not piloted any other light than the raven so don't know about the oxide.

I suppose that's a long way of saying I like both of them.

Sadly, the Sleipnir is not on that list.

Working as of a minute ago. Would still like to know why there was a delay on this.
Any insights appreciated.

Please, can Hero Cyclops, Sleipnir be added to list of assault mechs?
Since the Kodiak Hero SB was included in the list.

I think only mechs that are available for c-bills are on the list for having their heroes on sale, and the Cyclops missed out on that by a couple of weeks

So my heroes
Pirates bane fun and tactically a great fast weapon just don't stand still.
Deaths knell fast and fun, but I believe it lacks firepower compared to the pirates bane.
Oxide packs a punch and is great for scout mode, but I believe it lacks in the jump jet area.
Ember got hit by the resize, but has better maneuverability with the jump jets. It has less firepower than the oxide, but to me the jump jets can win the day.
Huggin, love it so much I have two. It has more manuevaribilty than the oxide, and more favorable hit boxes. It does have less firepower, and like the pirates bane should not stand still. It and the Ember favor the crazy light pilot.
Sparky can run the dual erppc in the chest as good as the summoner.
Quarantine is a very lackluster hero for me. It can perform, but the other wolverines that can be bought for cbills out perform it big time.
Muromets has lost a lot to nerds, but is still effective in a triple large pulse format. It has high energy mounts in the side torsos, and can hill poke really well.
Legend killer is a fun snap shooter, and can be great with ac2 in its ballistics.
Tempest is a great ecm heavy, and can boat lasers fine enough, but is not a brawler at all.
Bounty hunter is a great hero, and puts out laser vomit with the best of them. One of my best heroes.
Top dog is the one I use the most in faction play. It tanks and came out of the resize fairly well. I have two of them.
Misery is fun and the ballistic slot on the stalker let's you have some variance.
Edit to add two I forgot.

Also the locust mastery pack at 20% off could be a great way to get premium time, a good hero mech, and a few cbills.
