If ever Mad-Cat MKII would be released, it's not going to have lots of pod space xD.

I tried my best to configure the fixed slots, and i tried to free as much as i could with the arms, since it does look like it's an arm-y mech, like a clan Rifleman, except with two cannons.

At this point, i don't know what to build, i might redistribute the fixed slots, but it suffers with space shortages just like it's smaller brother. xD

Don't you worry. Just when you think you've seen all the pod space there is...

Yes I know I'm reusing images, bite me.

Dropping the LRMs and ammo for it adds 7 tons, reducing engine to 350 adds another 1.5, dropping the lasers adds 4 (12.5 total now). Add 2 cERPPCs (0.5 free now).

Drop to an XL340 (adds another 1.5 for 2 tons free at this point), put in a TC1, put in .5 ton gauss ammo and use the rest on armor.

It is a battlemech after all.

They could release a true once in a life time optimal pure meta-beast of a mech, and someone will still find some way to rationalize stuffing LRMs on it.

She will be fine....it will do double Gauss and double ERPPC like a champ. She is a battlemech that can put an XL 400 in, if you desire sure speed. She will be a good mech. Also consider other varriant options. 2 for sure will be in (1 GR, 1 LBX20, 2 ER meds, & 4 SRM 6's. That is stock. The other varriants if we do not get future tech will be probably based off a few TBR varriants simular to how the MAD IIC was done by PGI. I wouldn't say this one is Kodiak good, but it's probably MAD IIC good.

Don't care, if they gonna release Mad Cat MKII I'll still buy because it's a child of the Timberwolf and I'll have an excuse to fit some stupid build on a 90 ton mech.

But this I'll truly chuck cash at my screen for.

My name is Tamwulf, and I approve this message.

Not that anyone needs my approval. Its more like I support this idea. I've always been a huge fan of the Mad Cat/Timber Wolf, and would love to see a MK II in the game. Not so much the MK III (Ugly), and I really doubt MWO will be around long enough in it's current form to see a MK IV.

The funny thing is, at 85t it would actually have more pod space, than the 90t version does....

4t Endo Steel vs 4.5t endo steel chassis
both with 13t of FF armour (closer to max on the 85t)
340xl vs 360xl (both give you a 400 engine cap, proven by the MAD-IIC with it's stock 340xl)
1t JJ's vs 2t JJ's...

Just 5t, makes it so much better...

...Why do you think an 85 ton Battlemech gets 1 ton jump jets?

No! anything but the Mad Cat Mk IV, it's just BAD!

"Let improve the Mad Cat, by giving it an engine that generates a ton of heat, and shuts down on ST loss!"

Uugh...

2/4/6 extra heat (standing/walking/running)
4! that's right 4 crits in each ST for the cXXL (6! of the IS XXL), and you are only 1/3rd the weight of a standard engine...
Granted FL arrmour for a flat 20% DR, but once those ST's are open, you are in for a world of suck,,,, Hell the Prime of the Mk IV has a lower BV than the Delta of the original (by one point, but still and improvement shouldn't be worse than what it replaces...)

Because Battletech says so?

90t+ get 2t JJ's
60-85t get 1t JJ's
20-55t get .5t JJ's

You're right of course, my apologies. I don't know what I was thinking.

If it has high energy mounts or better hitboxes than a warhawk.

4 x LPL or 4 x ERPPC's will work ok.

Didn't realize 85 tonners mount 1 ton jump jets. Is there a stalker variant with jjs?

I want to poptart boating 4 PPC's in high mounts.

No problem, we all make mistakes form time to time.

I can't see how they could give it better hitboxes without mutilating the art work. It's side torsos (If ever released) are going to be crazy vulnerable.

Or you are going to be losing your primary armament like crazy, look at those arm positions....

It is insanely wide as well. Everyone is going to know you're coming around a corner or over a hill 5 minutes before you do so.
