!, 2 or Clan Origins IIC ? I'm a new player and want to support the game and one of each type of Mech will help me learn all the roles. Thanks in advance.

Resistance II > Resistance but it's close. Basically Mauler is way better than Zeus and WLF is significantly better than PTR, but ENF>CRB, GHR probably better than BLK, at least theses days, but the best GHR is not in the pack...

Origins IIC is solid on the bottom half, but the top half is spotty at best.

of those, def Resistance 2.

Resistance 1: Zeus kinda sucks, Grasshopper is good, there is only one particularly good enforcer, and the Panther is extra "meh" since they were scaled up to be the size of a 50 ton mech.

Origins IIC: HighlanderIIC has always been mediocre at best. Same for the Orion. The HunchieIIC is particularly very good, probably the strongest medium mech in the game right now. Jenner IIC used to be a beast, but again- all light mechs have been more or less screwed over.

That said, I do not think Resistance II is a great value. Maulers and Blackknights are OK, but not what they used to be. The Crab and Wolfhound were never great, but again they got hurt fairly bad with the re-scale.

Yeah. This is the theme. Of the 8 mechs in the packs, pretty much only the GHR and ENF-4R are comp worthy at this point.
