Well, I want both. I want the sleek new FD design, and I want the old boxy Loose design. New mech; old mech. But let's go ahead and get ALL the mechs in before we start issuing new skins. :P

Why use the worst TRO art available for the Cent? I hate all the art from the TRO you referenced, to be honest. I prefer the original TRO 3025 and 3050 :P

The MWO designs for all the mechs, not just the Centurion are far better then the original or any other incarnations.'

As time goes on peoples idea's and expectations evolve. What was passable when the BT TT game released is laughable now. MWO takes the best of the original designed and makes them contemporary in feel in the best ways possible.

Not the MWO version, but all tastes vary.

The MWO design is by far the best.

And I want that shield to actually be usable as a shield!

Aside from having the wrong weapons configuration (LRMs in the CT? What?!) I rather like the MC tall and thin CN9. Also, MC was the first time I saw it, so it kind of is what my brain will say is "most correct" for the profile of the Mech.

The new design looks good, I dunno, just a little too short, squat and bulky. But on the other hand, it's probably meant to look that way, because he's trying to make them look more real/believable. I might have room for a CN9 in my bays.

I'm with BarHaid on the centurion from BT. Its not really the look that I am partial with but rather the size and how skinny it is to reduce the profile of the mech and make it just a bit more difficult to strike. Would really help with its survivability. Course I'm a little nerd about one of my favorite battlemechs.

I think all the old TRO drawings look a bit dorky. They get the concept across but they don't look awe-inspiring. MWO versions do and the Centurion has perfect hitboxes as it is, don't mess with perfection.

Just build the Dervish instead.

Why did you feel a need to necro this thread? It is from JULY of last year for God's sake.

MWO Centurion looks more imposing.

I like the MWO one but it could use more of a head...

MWO design.

they made the 'meh' looking mech into a killer looking while stick to basic figures and silhouette.

Does anyone here have the pic of the Centurion from the MechCommander manual? That was a really good shot of it, and nicely rendered.

I like the MWO version. But the concept art looks a lot better than the one in the actual game. The one in the actual game looks too wide IMO.

I find almost all the old TT artwork and videogame artwork to be a little dorky and amateurish at best. Kind of similar to the reaction I have now looking at an old ford pinto next to modern cars. The MWO designs are vastly superior from all aspects in my opinion.

See 2:14

Also PLEASE GIVE US ENHANCED IMAGING.

I know we won't get it because it would be too fun, and sad, angry people would protest that its too much fun and other people like using it, so it should be taken away .
