Intentional? I guess I will have to email support about it, since moderation does not like getting patch note reports...


A couple of people mentioned that and no answers from them as far as I've heard so please feed back whatever they say.

Though in fairness with the patch today I guess we'll fine out the hard way! ;)

Also pretty sure that's what gyros are for.

Me neither. And I'm one of those foolish enough to mount UAC20 on a Hellbringer.

It's very satisfying to sneak up on somebody using ECM then dump 40 UAC damage + 30 damage from 6xERSL right into their CT. And I can speak from experience that double-taping the UAC20 is quicker than the duration of ERSL.

The only issue I have so far is the lack of ANY images of what the clan hero's will look like, yes they showed us the camo's but not hardpoint locations. I realise we have the Linebacker releasing as well but I feel it's only fair the people who bought the hero's get the same amount of info as those who bought the packs.
Can't wait to try out the game post patch and see where we're at now.

If I am reading this at all correctly my Dakka build Blackwidow just lost a ton of effectiveness. That sucks as it was one of my favorite builds to run around in.

In all honesty, all these pages show... is people should really try to just load out balanced builds, rather than go for the current meta. get some diversity out there. it's good for the game, regardless of what some of you seem to think.

If you rely on one weapon system so much you're utterly boned when it changes... maybe, you know.... don't just rely on a one-trick pony build. I literally never have a build that doesn't have a backup weapon, or a variety of ranges. even on mechs with only one kind of hardpoint you can still have load variety. mean, hell, my ARC-5W loads out 6 LRM5s and 3 SSRM2s. My Enforcer 5P (which was actually pretty devastating for a long time, and still will be) ALWAYS had a laser along with the UACs.

to use the old turn of phrase "never put all your eggs in one basket"

also, as for the guys whining it's going to become LRMageddon..... people pretty much constantly use AMS, ECM and Large Objects to avoid or mitigate those. and LRM boats are still screwed when they run into mid to short range guys. Can't tell you the number of Catapult A1s who've decided to only bring LRMs I've ran into and stomped.

Balancing is about give and take. A little change here a little change there. Changing things dramatically is not Balance it's counter intuitive to actually balance. By the way taking data from the energy draw test server is not viable source of data since most people outright refuse to play it cause they disagree with it. Let's blanket nerf clan Mechs to the 8/8 set quirk system is just straight malarkey. Onmipod Mechs are intended to give the pilot options and flexibility. Gimping them to the stock default load outs defeats the purpose of even having omnipods in the game. I really liked the changes last patch but this patch looks like it was done with biased opinions instead of quantifiable data.

I love that config. I have 2 variations of this config, either 6 SPLas, or 4 MLas.

Last night, my UAC20 jammed. And while I had CT cored a KDK3, I couldn't finish him off as the UAC20 unjam time is so long. Now its gonna be even longer... Good bye UAC20. I could put up with your spread. I could put up with your heat. But now when you don't talk to me for over 10 seconds, I can't take it anymore... It was fun while it lasted.

So, how do you not rely on a UAC20 when you are using it? Its so damned big, so damned heavy, any backup weapons pales in comparison. I really don't think anyone brings a single UAC20 and no backup weapons.

Lets clear this up: Most of the complaints is around the effective nerf of using 1 or maybe 2 UACs. In the case of the UAC20, singular use of it just died. If you talk about config diversity, the change in this patch just killed some.

The Design Note from the AC/LBX section referencing 'the...AC/2 line' is referring to IS and Clan AC/2s specifically. The UACs have their own section and Design Notes.

Going to be more of a pain in the *** for lights now that clan heavies can go 100kph. Makes me real glad I'm one of the few remaining IS light mech pilots in the game. At least you made it easier to kill the ACH which is the light mech I encounter most in my Jenner and Locust. Eventually I'll just say **** it all and quit the game when clan heavies and clan assault mechs can hit 120 kph. IS lacks the armor and now speed to compensate or fight clan mechs.

Oh look a buff to lrms after umm 3 years. Looks like my K2 will still be Cat number one while my C1 tries to fight for second place as most used catapult.

Same here. But I get the feeling the support peeps are on it as we speak. Bet its automated I guess, so the heroes will come asap.

The game is completely broken or something... I get ~46 fps in the mechlab and below ~30 fps in the testing grounds.
Edit: No problems on my side, drivers updated, game files checked, update is live. FPS problem persists.
Edit2: Other games perform bad as well, seems to be an issue with the new Nvidia driver.

Okay, looks like we had an issue with the injection of the Clan Heroes. The Linebacker and all other content has been injected as necessary, but the Clan Hero injections will be completed by 5PM PST today (1AM UTC November 16th). Very sorry for the delay here everyone
