For anyone wondering, this is what Melee used to look like in Mechwarrior Online. Note how the Hunchback's hand actuators open up to assist in pushing him up off the ground. Those models must still exist somewhere in the game.

WTF it just required more polishing and would've been soooo EPIC.
IT took way to too long for camera to get back into the cockpit (hunchy was standing still for about 1,5 seconds already before camera started to tilt back to cockpit) - maybe you should just see it all the time from the cockpit perspective and regain partial mobility as soon as you get on your knee if you wished to move forward but other than that ... why inna f#$k was it removed?!

PGI!?
And those graphics looked waay better than what we have, crispier, layered and with a dense mood to it.

Honestly you do not need collision mechanics to make melee work, just make it a heavy super short ranged cone attack based on the range of the swing and add animations to the properly equipped mech. Heck use the rock mechanics from heavy ac impacts and increase the value to simulate impact. Better than nothing!

Vastly superior sound effects to what we have now
