Actually it is, in the constitution. Perhaps you should read it some time. I know big words are hard for special snowflakes like you. Again as I said before, I find racism disgusting, but if the bigot does his job right, why should I give a **** if he is a racist? Being racist is no different from being a homophobe or the likes. The only difference is what group of people the person dislikes.

And again I don't hear you harping on the fact that most of our presidents have been racist, or could be interpreted as such. I could just point out how the USA has denied helping Africans from genocide on 2 occasions now (Rwanda and Darfur). Oh wait... you don't care.

I think racism is disgusting. But if a Christian or Muslim should be allowed the opportunity to be hired into the white house, I see no reason a racist shouldn't.

If the man does his job well, and doesn't make his racism an issue, I don't see why the **** it should matter what kind of ***** he likes.

There is no point in continuing this conversation. Trump supporters are too far gone to reason with. RIP common sense. Embrace the hate, its now openly sanctioned by our new president.

You do realize that bannon is going to use his position to further his white power beliefs. He is going to actively discriminate against certain groups of americans. On top of that, his selection is emboldening racists around the country to commit hate crimes. I do believe that these things actually do disqualify him from this position. Its not just about his beliefs, its about what he will do and what others will do because of him. Some americans lives will be much harder because he will try to direct trump's administration to discriminate against certain people. That is why i think it is not discrimination to not hire him.

Fun fact, those former presidents aren't current presidents or future presidents. Our country needs to move forward and have presidents that will represent all americans.

As far as religion, most people dont follow or believe every last single word of their religion. If someone believes that a woman should be stoned in the streets for commiting adultry, or that homosexuals should be killed, these things should disqualify them from office because these things are contrary to our laws.

steve bannon believes that african americans, mexicans, jews, women, gays, muslims, athiest etc should not have the same rights as white men. Discriminating against people is against our laws. He should not be hired to be in the presidents administration.

Nice contradiction. Discriminate against those who discriminate... I believe that is called hypocrisy.

Also I don't give a **** if he is racist. As long as he doesn't hurt no one, I won't care. Also given your standards most people who have public political office in Texas shouldn't be allowed too because they are so religiously biased its unreal (for example bans on abortion, contraceptives etc). Actually no person who opposes abortion on religious grounds should be allowed in office by your standards.

Your restrictions are hypocritical because they favor your opinion. The point of our constitution is not to allow any one opinion to restrict the rights of others. It protects black people, but it also is there to protect racists as well.

Now if you want to throw out the constitution and say "No racist, homophobe, or religious person can run for office" then be my guest, just know you are a hypocrite.

We obviously have different opinions on what exactly is discrimination. We need more people in this country that are willing to stand up against racial discrimination, there are a lot of people that are not being properly protected by our government. I'm not seeing that here, I just think that is sad commentary on where this country is at. I am done with this thread. I hope you have a pleasant evening.

Well when Bannon actually tries to restrict the rights of other races and such, let me know. But right now he hasn't done anything (as he isn't in office) and thus I see no reason to have anything against him until he does.

I actively will fight his racism IF HE ACTS ON IT IN OFFICE. But it also violates our constitution to throw someone out of office who hasn't actually violated the laws of this country yet.

As someone who has regularly visited a variety of news sites, Steven Bannon is the head of Breitbart. I'm honestly not surprised at the baseless complaints of him being anti-this/that when the news site itself has very little on its filters. One fine example of this is Milo Yiannopoulos, a British-born journalist for their site who actively encourages the right of free and lawful speech in America against political correctness.

OF COURSE you've heard these things from him, OF COURSE Breitbart and its contributors are always under fire, because they want people to jump on their case and call them all the -ism's, because it's a source of growing proof for them. The site itself has no actual signs of discriminatory rules or articles that a "white supremacist" CEO would allow.

I could say the exact same thing about Christians.

No you can't. Jesus never hated a soul, nor lifted a finger out of anger or violence. He was the most peaceful, kind, loving and friendly person to ever walk this Earth.

The laws of God transcend and supersede any laws of man. And don't hate me because I said it--ask any devout minister or priest of the cloth and they'll tell you the same.

The left needs to learn the true meaning of tolerance, which it seems they have forgotten. Their actions certainly seem to indicate it, at least...

The first step towards tolerance is respecting the right for other people to share their ideas and viewpoints, no matter what they are. This means you might dislike what they have to say, and sometimes you might down right hate it. Their views might disgust, even infuriate you, but silencing them in the name of false tolerance only percolates the rift. The left is in shambles because for years they have insisted on silencing dissent and opinions different from their own. They have constantly shamed, lambasted, labeled and vilified those who persist in cherishing the right to free speech and healthy debate. Disagree with the left and they'd make folks suffer and feel irreparable pain.

That is why Trump won.

The people have spoken. They are tired of being silenced. The Bill of Rights guarantees their freedom of speech. They have spoken.

If the left wants a chance at salvaging the mess their cause has become, they must learn what tolerance really means. They must learn that it is time to open their ears, listen to what other folks have to say, and participate in civil discussions about those ideas.

Maybe not Jesus... but Paul was a misogynist, homophobic, and told his followers to curse those who didn't believe. Also Jesus wasn't the most loving person... I think you forget his violent outburst at the temple... or when he relays just how much torture non-believers will face in hell in Matthew... or when he sends devils into a herd of pigs causing them to jump off cliffs. There is also again in Matthew where he says (literally) he came to make families go against each other.

I don't think you read the New Testament very closely. Jesus wasn't nearly as kind as people think he was.

Also Christians time and again use the Old Testament to back up their beliefs that homosexuality is wrong and such. The Old Testament has passages which describe the Christian god telling Moses to have his followers eviscerate the womb's of women, remove their unborn child, and then put them to the sword while the mother's bleed out. Or in Proverbs where it says that hitting a child with a stick is good for the kid. Or in Psalms where it says dashing an infant on rocks, in front of the mother is okay.

That is what Christians believe, and that is their god. So yes, I am well within my rights to say the same thing about Christians (the same group of people responsible for the Westboro Baptists, K.K.K., Planned Parenthood bombing, etc).

I dearly hope it isn't the Muslim/Christian/Jewish god (same one). Cause the guy is a psycho who thinks than stoning gay people is okay.

Also before you say "OLD TESTAMENT" may I remind you of these:

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 5:18-19

“It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid.” (Luke 16:17)

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17)

“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law” (John7:19)

Yeah... Jesus said the Old Testament was still law.

So yeah... I'd provide a list of things you should do with the Christian law, but I'd get banned for it, because the Christian god is probably the most disgusting conception of a deity ever devised by humankind.

You may have your opinion but I respectfully disagree. I've little interest in discussing some of the angles you present. In a world as judgemental as the one we live in, I defer to silence. :) Have a nice day.

thanks for reminding me that i need to polish my jack boots and sharpen my thumb screws. if im gonna be stuck with a dictatorship im gonna be on the side that tortures people.

frankly im sick of this election bs. the voters got exactly what they deserve. apparently it only takes 80-90 years to forget the lessons of the past.

as for the whole email thing, i dont know why trump wants to look at hillary's emails, i bet most of them are bill's. emails about male enhancement and donations for nigerian princes. old people + internet has never been a bright idea.

what pisses me off is that i could not vote for my usual 3rd party to express my distaste for our political parties and their crap.
