Try to read the full post. I want Clan Gauss too to be nerfed, afterwards. And it is a fact that Poke Bear has less influence in pug matches and CW.

The only reason the poke bear is not complained about is cause people were using the uac bear for fun. Expect lots of complaints when all the people using uac bear change to poke bear and QP matches are reduced to who has the most poke bears shooting the other team from 800 meters away.

Bad nerf is bad and badly thought out, PGI should have increased the jam chance to around 20% and increased the unjam time to 6 seconds on the cuac 10 at the most. That would have lowered its DPS a bit but still kept it viable. Now it is going to become a disused weapon as it was before it was buffed a year or so ago.

As for people whinging about boating, the mechs had the points to use 2-4 uac's, so what did you expect to happen, if it wasnt meant to happen the mech wouldnt have come out.

They should give the standard Clan ACs a slight velocity buff. To add to their reliable nature over the UACs.

they should like, almost anything clan acs =p If they made them shoot rainbow sparkle bullets with glitter trails, that'd be a huge improvement.

People were not just using Dakka Bear for fun. Cause it was frighteningly effective in pug queue, as evidenced by dozens of threads and statistics. For fun build is something like 4xCLBX10 Kodiak.

Unless I check it out myself, I seriously doubt weapons such as CUAC5 and CUAC10 are now trash, cause even single-firing them is plenty. Of course, even if I do well with them post patch, people will think I was simply lucky. And even if I do well with them for dozens of matches, people will think it means nothing in the bigger picture. Whatever...

The complaint is not always that mechs with MGs as stock weapons are OP with ballistic quirks. The gausscat isn't OP, but that's not the issue in that particular case. The issue is that PGI is very inconsistent when it comes to rewarding stock builds.

For example, the Phoenix Hawk quirks are all about the stock builds. MG quirks, laser quirks and PPC quirks. Apparently, they don't want people to equip UAC5s, AC10s or LB10Xs on the PXH, which could potentially be viable with the right ballistic quirks. Instead, they give out MG quirks. This is good.

The CPLT-K2 is one of the most iconic PPC carriers in Battletech. But instead of trying to reward players who stay close to the stock build, they give ballistic quirks for a mech that doesn't have any stock ballistic weapons. In the case of the CPLT-K2, it's not a big deal, because it's such an underperforming mech anyway (due to hardpoint inflation), but in the case of the WHM-BW, it is a big deal.

The K2 isn't a problem now but it was kind of a big deal way back...people were calling for sized hardpoints then.
