I do have to say that the Medusa is built to run 6 spl, 1srm4 1.5t ammo. Sure, you could run 6 ERSL, but the alpha and pinpoint of 6 SPLs is worth it.

Having the bonuses from the stock omnis is also very helpful for that particular variant.

The VPR-B with stock omnis also doubles as a pretty good ERLL sniper platform (and not just an ER-PPC sniper), (because of the 10% range buff), but you'll have to shed a lot of armor in various places.

Prime variant is effective as an ERSL platform, loaded up with DHS.

You really have to group up with the light pack or hit and fade from unexpected angles. It's not a soloist, but it can make anyone worry if piloted smartly.
