Conspiracy to make the Whale Hero P2W confirmed.

So... we'll just take your word for it? There are plenty of other builds for the Whale too, you know. It is an omni-mech, not fixed to one single build. Maybe get take a break from mindless double tapping for a while? Dakka Whale is not everything.

Ehhh, to be relevant in the current meta, it did. I mean it is still strong but it is even more situational than it used to be.

Would you say it's useless? Gone for good? That was the statement I was responding to. If you're going to apply the term "useless" to a DW, you're operating with a fairly narrow definition of which mechs are viable.

Unrelated, has anyone else noticed OP's extremely edgy location listing? That gave me a good laugh.

Answer : no they are not, they are just less power creep so the game is more balance compare to IS 100 tonners...
And trust me, like the other has says, Direwolf with dual gauss + stuff is always terrific :

And much more devastating compare to UAC/5 or UAC/2 boats... Less damage but more kills.

That's so much armor on your back...
Go assymetrical: Space Whale done right
With DWF-A right-hand you can have a Lower-Arm Actuator, so you can aim more easily. Also being assym, lose your left side, you're still a formidable Laser-Vomit. Lose your right side, you're still a formidable double-gauss sniper.

I can't believe you just said that, with all of the weight of armor and armaments, you should deal the most damage and take the most damage.
You can kill just about any mech with any amount of damage as long as their Engine gets destroyed. Just go light and kill-steal if you're after kills.

Have you never use the automatic tool on smurfy to allocate armor instantly ? That's what i do when i quickly post a loadout on the forum. Of course i don't run the armor like this in game...
Assymetrical build are less efficient with the double gauss, i though. That's my playstyle who talks, not the logic. The same with the arm actuator. All the weapons in arms, i think it's the best for my playstyle on the Direwolf.
And better grouping when both the gauss are in the arms or torso. With lower arm actuator + gauss in the torso it's more difficult to aim when arms are unlock.

Take the most damage on the Direwolf ? Have you ever play the Direwolf ? It's papor armor. If you want to tank, take the Atlas. I even find that my Marauder with STD engine take more punishment than Dire... The purpose of dat build is to have good pin point damages and one shot ennemy mechs or kill them the most quickly.
And again you do not understand my playstyle with that loadout...
Imagine this in game :
I have a Direwolf with 6xUAC/5. I saw an ennemy. Instantly i pull the trigger and make it rain !!! I will made more damages, but spread more and spend more time make it rain on him before killing him.
I have a dual gauss + lazors direwolf. I saw an ennemy. I first look where he is woonded, i aim with a better alpha and better accuracy the weak part, i kill him. Less damages but quicker way to kill him = more benefit for my exposure time and my team.
Understand ? Don't compare this with the gameplya of lights mech...
