I can actually use my arms to block incoming fire, instead of trying to block incoming fire with my face in order to take attention away from my papier mache arms. Face tanking in a 40 ton mech was kind of rough.

But it's better now. This mech may have gone from terrible to a solid mediocre. Will need to play a bit more before I decide.

Then it needs to not be one of the worst mechs in the game ;)

Didn't get to try mine out tonight but I love my phawks so I'm looking forward to it.

Wish they would do something about those stupid machine gun quirks. Or buff machine guns. I'm good with either.

I guess this means I'll be taking my Phoenix Hawks out for a spin tonight then. Good news, good news. :)

If only it didn't have such absolutely disgusting weapon geometry, i might pick it up.
But god damn it... It's so awful, but the fact is, the models are fine (unlike on something like the Dragon), the issue comes from the prioritization being ABSOLUTELY ******* RANDOM. Like, you can put two lasers on each arm and one arm will have a double-pistol, while the other will have one in the vambrace and the other in a pistol.
Like holy ****, have you heard of consistency???

Yeah, I ran them a few times last night, and based on that (ludicrously inadequate) evidence, I'd agree it's made a big difference.

They way it used to be -- while the 'mech distributed damage well between torso components, you'd lose arms long before dying. Now the arms are buffed just enough that with normal torso-twisting practices, your torso tends to also be gone by the time the arms fall off. Exceptions occur when someone PPFLD's your arm, but that's life.

Now the 'mech rolls damage supremely well, full stop, and really makes great use of that paltry structure and armour you get at 45 tons.

Cool, I will have to see how the PXH performs now. I agree with Rear Admiral Tier 6 the post above, the 1B was the one I was able to do pretty solid in. The others were pretty depressing to play.

BTW, I see the Phoenix Hawk syndrome coming to pass with the Assassin, so make sure to prepare yourself.

Probably, but it still looks cool, which I freely admit is my main motivation to buy mechs. Alex's art has got my wallet by the short-and-hairies.
