4MG(3.2DPS)(120Range)(1-2tons)(4Crits)(4Ballistic-Slots)
vs
1AC2(2.8DPS)(900Range)(5-6Tons)(1-3Crits)(1Ballistic-Slot)

4MGs are just slightly better in damage but worse in range than what is considered the worse weapon in MWO,
so i would say yes MG should get some Love, giving them 1DPS could help them return it being viable,
