I have over 37 gigs free and am not able to install the game, checked the requirements and thats quite a bit over. I tried to patch the game and ran into this errors. Uninstalled the game and re-installed twice each time freeing up more and more space on my HD. What is the problem here? Why is the game trying to download what feels like two of itself during the update? Let me know if there is a workaround, as it stands now I cannot play at all. Thanks!

Do you have more than one harddrive and installing MWO on a secondary drive? The installation files are being loaded in a temp folder on the primary drive, that is the drive than needs the space.

A few options. Do the installation then stop it before it patches. Click on the upper right, check run repair tool and let at it.

Or

Install Steam and let it install MWO.

If you're using steam to download u will need twice the available gigs free.

Steam will reserve basicly the whole game, even for simple updates due it needs to verify the files first.
It does this on all games, which is quite annoying because sometimes it'll take up to an hour to verify files for a simple 20mb patch (another game not mwo)

Wanted to say thank you to both of you =) I scrubbed the game one final time and tried steam. It loaded perfectly (and in about half the time it usually takes) up and running as we speak. Much happier now heh.
