Is it my imagination or are some of the dominant players players missing now from the top of the leaderboard?

Certainly are some missing, one of them used to run 4 SRM maddogs and was number 1 by a big margin.

i had someone claim to report me for aimbotting. a locust ran into our base and i took one shot with double cerppcs and instagibbed him. it was ultimately just dumb luck. thats usually a shot i miss 99 out of 100 times. he was running prependicular to the shot, this requires leading, and just got lucky. it made contact and the locust went down. of course there was a lot of report trolling that game.

I, for one, am a bit interested to find out what happened to these players. But speculation gets us nowhere.

Looks like some of them are Freelancers atm... but not all of them...

No silly, when you leave unit you go to freelancer.

yes but the OP has a point, several of them may be from the same parent unit and in transition, but one is not and doesn't show up in any of the leaderboards... he's just went {poof}

Maybe you should check the freelancers ranking there the rest of the scrubs who haven't yet went back to there unit.

If your units contract has run out and you haven't logged in since a new one was signed u are a LoneWolf and disappear from the board. As soon as u log in again u get your new faction and you're back on the board.

the former #1 did a name change and a unit change, he's still around

Last time somebody got banned for cheating they were not removed from the public leaderboards and they're still there now. So don't take a sudden disappearance as an affirmation that they got banned when it's possible they might have just stopped playing between seasons in QP or swapped to another contract in CW.
