The UrbanMech IIC is a Clan upgrade of the original UrbanMech. Around the same time as the development of the OmniMech during the Golden Century, Clan Coyote technicians reworked this venerable design. They studied battle data from as far back as the Amaris Civil War and used this research as the basis for their upgrades. They apparently decided that the UrbanMech (known as the Urbie to its fans and detractors alike) did not need much reworking, as they simply upgraded the autocannon to a Type 9 Ultra Autocannon/10 and the Small Laser to a Series 1 Extended Range Small Laser. The more advanced Clan technology allowed the technicians to increase the 'Mech's speed by fifty percent and improve its jumping capacity to 90 meters, though they did not change the six tons of standard armor or the ten standard heat sinks. While the Coyotes field the most UrbanMech IICs, the 'Mechs are also fielded by the Snow Ravens, Ice Hellions, and Hell's Horses.

Lore? In a leak from PGI?

That's how you know it's fake.

Nice try though.

Anyway, mandatory...

I'd get it though, i love it!

Although i wish that they'd retcon it to 35 tons, and UAC20. But that's just me.

Why though? It's just another bland, Inner Sphere +1 design.

Never bland in my eyes, for some it may, but it's one i'm hoping to get some time in the future.

Lol, so PGI has run out of mechs to add so now its copy pasta, IIC all the things?

Can we have a Warhammer IIC now? Marauder IIC, Mauler IIC, Warhawk IIC.

Well... I guess to be fair, some of the IIC mechs are different, either through inflated tonnage or... well, through inflated tonnage. The most extreme being the Phoenix Hawk IIC (+35 tons).

Which still, for the most part, makes them nothing more then +1 mechs. Boring.

Well, technically, IIC models only exist for Star League designs, so the Mauler...

Oh.

Carry on.

That's from the original battletech, PGI has nothing to do with the lore of Urbanmech IIC, yet.

http://www.sarna.net...i/UrbanMech_IIC
  • UrbanMech IIC, "UrbanMech IIC introduction dates"
  • Combat Operations, p. 117
  • 3.0 3.1 3.2 Technical Readout: 3060, pp. 144-145, "UrbanMech IIC Profile"
  • Record Sheets: 3060 Unabridged, p. 211
  • Record Sheets: 3060 Unabridged, p. 212, "UrbanMech IIC 2".

Although i don't think it would hurt to add their own variants.

IM not denying IICs are a thing, im just sayin, with mechs like the Mk II, which is a sufficiently different Timberwolf to warrant adding it, still not having the Stone Rhino and stuff, there are still a few mechs, never mind all the lights and mediums im sure people still want, that they could add.

Im just getting this Armored Warfare vibe, where AW is currently just adding the East European tanks which under all the drag are just T-62 up to T-72 variants, they are adding more M48s, M60s and its like they are just doing the copy pasta, despite there still not being an Isreali line or French line....which would add a few new tanks not even in the game yet.

I'm saying that this ain't PGI's fault.

Pretty much just jokes...I know those dont exist and probably never will.

Besides, IDK as a Warhawk IIC would be any good. It would just be a mansion instead of the barn that the Warhawk is now. 85t, IIC would probably be a 100t......

We all have our own priorities. I prefer interesting over a weight class.

Though yah, probably could use a light or two (Not that I can do a damn thing with them).

Just got a clan medium (Huntsman) though, and two upcoming Inner Sphere mediums (A super light one, and a trooper one. Actually two very good choices for mediums, I think, the Assassin and Bushwacker). So I think it's fair to let that class rest for a bit.
