Supposed that Thor or Odin from SC2 was a 'Mech, how it would impact the game? To be fair, something like that was built but not necessarily exactly the same. e.g. the Thor alone has 4 250mm cannons on it's back and can be upgraded to 330mm, so it would be essentially 4 AC20s, and still have 4 more particle-beam cannons on it's right arm, LRMs on it's side. And mind you, the Odin is quite bigger.

Each AC20 of IS weighs 14 tons, that is 56 tons alone, and 4 PPCs are 28 tons too, that is 84 tons alone for the weapons without armor, engine and heatsinks, ammo, and LRMs to boot. So it might be a lot smaller.

So essentially it's a monstrous mech that has enough pod space for 4 AC10s, 2 PPCs, and 2 LRM5s, and still be that badass. Say it moves at 48 kph?

Would you play it? How would it impact the game?

Well first you can't simple port from one system into another - I know it's a joke question although who knows what joke the mech con will bring

But you can port roles are the cannons artillery pieces?
Could be thumper or sniper
Are they for anti anything else - medium and heavy rifle
PPCs - support ppc

And weight is different when you mount 4 medium rifles, 4 support PPCs and a Rocket launcher into a Mech

Ok, but the main issue star craft is pure soft sic fi while Bt is hard sic fi at least at it's core even when violating the laws of thermodynamic and ignoring the laweson criteria for fusion engines

Sure, but consider adding it as a mech, with the same shapes, same hardpoints albeit different weapon systems. How it would affect the game if it came with 2x PPC + 4x AC10 + 2x LRM5. Or considering the built, it might be just 4x PPC + 4x AC5 + 2x LRM5.

Like the annihilator - the moment the is got the option to mount 4 AC10s the game will break

At first I thought this was some kind of complaint about the Summoner/Thor being horrible that they're not even Mechs in game. Anyhow, aren't Thor's Hammer (Thor's primary weapon) more closer to Autocannons than PPCs?

Also 3/3 + Immortality Protocol OP

Also mandatory Thor's transforming into little boxes when being air lifted :>

Again, the Thor's Hammer though appears as ballistic, they are specified as particle accelerators. Maybe simmilar to the idea of the Yamato cannon, projecting a nuclear explosion in a coherent beam.

Anyways it doesn't have to be exactly as it appears on sc2 but just enough scaling down to get as close to the SC2 Thor but fits on MWO.

Like it may have 4 AC10s or AC5s, 4x PPCs or 2x PPCs, with LRM5s.
