Really? In the world I come from no matter what I say to you if you lay a hand on me that's an assault and battery charge that comes with fees and jailtime.

But that means you're a wuss, and not a real man! /s

Grips has repeatedly resorted to physical threats when he knows there's nothing that even vaguely resembles an intellectual argument for his shenanigans. He's been reported for it several times. The mods edit his posts, but I don't know if they ever banned him. The best part about it is that he tries to label others as "internet tough guys", saying we wouldn't dare voice criticism to his face, while at the same time sitting safely behind his own monitors. The guy doesn't seem to grasp the concept of irony. And he seems to think I've forgiven or forgotten the quality of his character, when I have done neither. It's frankly rather sad and pathetic.

You are the one who attacks verbally first. I have seen you do it to many posters. You think you are better than people and you are not.

Actually law and order was a reality long, long before "safe spaces" were a thing. Nice try though.

There was law and order before police states and there still are places guys can take it to the dirt to resolve things and live to fight another day once differences are resolved where respect matters. Just not here or in your guys fragile bodies.

Wait... are you saying we should go back to the time when duels at 20 paces were a thing? Posted Image

If you're going to try and troll people, at least learn to use memes correctly.

Amazing how this morphed from talking about an in-game griefer to an in-forum one...I think the in-game griefer won the internets in doing so...

I blame it and Donald Trump on lead pipes. Anyways, I'm out before I post stuff I'll regret. The forum mods have to come back some day, right?

You realize assault and battery is an actual crime, not a civil dispute, right? A felony?

Out of curiosity, can any company actually permanently ban someone? I mean, sure, they can ban his account or IP, but accounts can be easily remade and most people have dynamic IPs and can just reset their router to get a new IP in minutes.

There are some really crazy people out there. I have seen someone spend more than 12 hours on a weekday stalking and harrassing someone that he believed to be his arch enemy or something ********. An admin would ban him, then a few minutes later he would be back with a different IP screaming about how all the admins were conspiring against him to protect his arch enemy. 12 hours later he was still doing the same thing. There's no way PGI support can keep up with crazy people like this.

I guess I've been lucky in that I've only seen one team killer on either side during several months of play. It finally happened last night with this strange dude named Buttlord that said in voip "I am Buttlord, the scourge of battlemechs and the seven seas!" or some strange crap. And then he took out one of our assault mechs from his rented Zeus.

The thing that struck me as being odd was the pitch of the dude's voice. He sounded older, gravely, and drunk. I pictured him being in his 40's easily and probably just depressed with life. And if my dropping his name is a problem, well, his full name was longer than just Buttlord so whatever.

I've mentioned this story before, but I remember a situation like that happening on a Freelancer mod server. A guy wouldn't stop being terrible both IG and on the forums, to the point where they started IP banning. Eventually, they just banned the entirety of NZ and some parts of Australia, which finally shut him down, and said that if anyone gets an illegitimate IP ban indication when trying to log in, they'd whitelist your IP. Fun times.
