So, long fan of TBR, still i don't know how to actually make it tank damage. With it's small arms, i can't arm shield, all i ever did is just armor rolled. Aside from that and hiding, what else can i do to distribute damage?

Use your JJs. They help spread damage too.

I mean... You are a TBR, THEY have to hide! Not you! It dares to shoot at you? Stare it down! Let it run or let it feel the pain!

No realy. Beside my locust, TBR is my most used mech. I gave up tanking on it avoid damage bye positioning is my A&O. Only as a srma brawler, my favorite build, I play aggressive leader, and only if I know, that im not alone and can fall back wiggling if focused to hard...
Normaly I flank/JJ mechs that are better tanks then my TBR is... I mean, I have better top speed then 90% of havies in this game. That gives me the opportunity for better positioning. There is not much more you can do. Shake off dmg or deadside tank.

I found shaking more effective most of the fights.

Sometimes if caught without cover by an slow assault, I alpha running past him(back to back) by his right or left side, JJ turn, alpha, and run close to his other side with his turning direction It does not prevent all the dmg but he gets a "deadside" for some seconds, delaying the dmg if done well. Does not work all the time, its risky but JJ allow me to turn much faster then he can, giving me some seconds to shoot the side where the dangerous weapons are. If I circle his right side, I shoot the left arm/ST to force him to turn more...

I hope its clear what I mean. AND keep in mind I'm only tier3. On higher tiers it may not work properly :D

The Timberwolf is my favourite mech as well and always has been :D
Although it doesn't shield damage as good as other humanoid shaped mech, and its hardpoint locations are not exactly in the ideal goldilocks level... it is still a strong performing mech.
The Timberwolf main strenght is its speed and agility, so use them well for positioning and to twist the damage and spread them as much as possible...
As the meta now has shifted to mid range poking, the gauss peeps build is still very strong... but the srm build has become very situational...
I am no longer using the srm brawler build anymore for my Timberwolf, especially in the solo public queue... but the dakka laser build is very strong.
Even after the uac nerfs, it seems the uac build is still strong... well from my personal experience, it is currently my favourite build on the Timberwolf :)
Good luck and have fun out there in the battlefield, especially in a TBR as it is still a priority target even after all this time :D
