Damnit, just let me have my moment.
Fine... most minimally viable progress for a year. That's all I can think of (or it could be termed "least progress made in a year").
It's either that or Successful Bomb/Dud of a Launch (CW/FW Phase 3).

..It doesn't really matter, though.. There's no way in hell MWO will win a Steam Award.
Of course not, the breakdown will probably be:
40-50% will go to AAA games
50-60% will go to shoddy Indie titles that'll offer free keys in exchange for votes, kind of like how they get through greenlight.
And one would probably go to Overwatch. It's not even on Steam but the Blizzard fanboys will get so annoyed that it won't get ALL the awards this year that they'll find a way to make it happen.

Stop bashing paul, isn't his fault he can't be responsable of everything.
In fact there is someone in shadow who control everything, bad balance, quriks strange update, PSR, long tom fallouts... or trump's election. Someone really strong and sneaky.

Luckily this is just a nomination process, not an actual vote for the award.
I hope Space Food Truck wins something though. I love that game.

Half-Life
Half-Life 2
Fallout New Vegas
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Witcher 3
Team Fortress 2
Shadows of Mordor
Binding of Isaac
Batman: Arkham Asylum
BroForce
Borderlands
Borderlands Pre-Sequel
Borderlands 2
Bioshock
Bioshock Infinite
FTL
A quick list of 16 games (12 if sequels don't count) that are better then MWO.
I mean, I know some people do like everything about MWO, and fair enough, different strokes for different folks... but in the top 10? Steam has over 7,000 games.

NO. Half that list is cringe factor 10.
This game really is one of the best on Steam.
By the way anyone who doesn't have a large games song playlist for MechWarrior Online isn't playing right, noobs.

If it's "the best", it should appear on the top 100 games currently playing on Steam.
Unless that's not a good metric, your hearsay metrics don't count either.
Path Of Exile is apparently @ #33 of games with the # of current players at the moment (current quote, of course it'll change when you see it), technically built their own IP out of nothing, and doing a far better job than MWO at being F2P. This at a time where the new league literally starts next week (before Mechcon) where activity is usually at its lowest. It might not be great compared to say Diablo 3 numbers, but MWO/PGI only wished it could have said numbers.

No. That's a list of games that are, for the most part, critically and financially successful. Games that gamers wide and far have agreed that, yes, they are amazing.
With two exception, of course - Crypt of the Necrodancer and BroForce. Those, I suppose, are personal choices, which is why I went for more then 10.
EDIT: Also, the only thing in the universe cringe worthy is when people use the phrase 'cringe worthy.'
And yes, I'm aware of the paradox.

3 years and still minimally viable.
derping mans shooter of the year.
worlds largest salt mine.
game that has the most crabs.
slowest dev team of the decade.
most entitled player base.
the too many damn events award.
most historical antique game engine.
Not enough events if anything in my opinion.
