Phil is away with his family for the holiday and unable to respond himself, so I will for now.

I'm going to keep this straight to the point, despite how I feel about how rude and misinformed some of this thread is.

Phil and I were not anywhere near being on the inside when IGP formed, and can only base our knowledge on what we've heard over the years, just like you. I can only assume that Phil took the previous knowledge that IGP was formed by an acquaintance, and then expanded on that and unfortunately said or implied some things that simply weren't fully accurate.

The podcast was unscripted, and we had no idea what they were going to ask us, so we were just answering as best we could off the top of our heads. Phil made a mistake, he's human. I think that's what Russ meant when he said words are words, meaning that they can easily be misspoken and/or misunderstood, not that they are unimportant. But I think most of you already knew that.

Bombadil I have no bone to pick with you other then being dishonest with the community and not bringing Russ and company to
task and asking such easy questions that donald trump would smile . (the game had major problems that you guys would not
even come close to asking those questions )

My Problem is with Phil to put it bluntly and with some sense of decorum he is a JERK
In your pod casts he was repeatedly and completely disrespectful to a good portion of the old school players.
Most of us older players started with battletech and have played every version since ......
If it was not for us and those like us who spent our money on these phil would have no game to love
We also might have a more experienced view on what works and what will not in a mechwarrior game .

FW is broken and complete garbage it needs to be scrapped and started from scratch
( where are our davion space ports , kuritan cities , pirate bases
they have so many YEARS of art and lore to draw from and these are the maps we get ????)
It took them how many years to replace the trees that you cant get out of your line of fire

MW2 had destructible buildings for crying out loud ! ( and bridges and lots of other things )

I could go on but that is the start of my point ....

Use the Multiquote function, no effort on your part, and your argument is backed
Otherwise, you might be filling in what you want, but not what is really there

Speaking of insults...

On topic, when three PGI guys (one of them the CEO of this company!) just jump to reply on a thread about their former developer while at the same time they have a record of ignoring this forum claims and questions, no wonder that some people that feels betrayed, ignored and insulted ("we know about making games, not you...") by PGI came here to express their feelings and opinions about them.
And frankly, I think that everybody has been polite, but it seems that criticize PGI while pointing at proven FACTS (I know that someone in this forum really like this word: it's a present for you...Posted Image ) is something not politically correct.

Actually, uh... that was our fault.

Clan Diamond Shark sold the IS a decent amount of Battlemech Black Hawks to the IS on the side. Sorry.

Oh, I forgot.

The Black Hawk KU predates the Great Diamond Shark Fire Sale.

The KU is based off of captured Black Hawk Omnimechs, and produced in 3055. It was made because the original Black Hawk is almost Star League tech, so it was easier to duplicate.

The Black Hawk Battlemech was produced in 3073 in an effort to make a budget medium mech, and Diamond Shark sold cheap knock offs with second hand parts to the Inner Sphere.

First of all, why the hell are there so many Blawk Hawk versions? Second, they're not knock offs or second hand parts, they're just... time tested and weathered.

As for the IGP thing I really didn't know about much about it until this thread came along. I can see why many here in community would have concerns.

Generally, if you're super concerned about the development of a computer game, then you paid more for it than you can afford.

My advice would be, curb spending on frivolous things and concentrate on things you need, only then should you spend on entertainment. (This advice works for spending both time and money).

That way you will be happier, I'm likely a super whale in most people's eyes, I buy everything over my two accounts. Yet I don't really care about how, when, why or where they spend my money. I spend more on coffee each month than I do the monthy ultimate packs and I do not roll into Starbucks to ***** at them to make sure they spend my cash on developing new flavours.

Just chill and relax. The game will be what it will be.

He has July 16' join date .So either hes another Alt. or no real Idea of what has happened with this company over the past 4 years as a newish player .Alot of new players aren't aware of the the tricks that have played on the customer base this includes The Transverse jump the ship attempt. As noted by some here I am still not sure they arent funding it behind the scenes from mech sales.Just to spring a new game announcement the same week the MWO servers are shut down..That would crazy strife inducing

I am playing since January and one of the first things I was told about was the IGP/PGI thing. So not news, sorry.

As for the NGNGtv thing... I know it is hard to find the info... but it says on the NGNGtv twitch page that Daeron and Phil are both currently employed by Piranha Games, developers of MechWarriorOnline. And that is nothing that was added a short time ago. So that part was quite obvious... at least if you read the stuff under the video.

The best part of this thread (for me) was Tina moderating another PGI Staff member.

I read all the comments... and it was so much wasted time to be honest. I was waiting for "A producer, a president and a community manager go to a forum" jokes... but they never happened. I am quite sad...

On the other hand I am glad that there aren't as many provocations and fights as expected (the jokes might have been against the CoC, so making me sad might have been a good choice)... it is almost "friendly"... (for some people the posts might be the nicest I have seen of them...)

I wish you a good night :) And don't make me work... I am lazy these days! :)

Hey Folks

I normally would not speak up on such nonsense but I just wanted to put the brakes on the IGP equals PGI ********.
I held the title of Producer for the entire time we were working IGP and at times we were at odds with each other on decisions for the product. As with most Publisher and Developer relationships you end up making compromises.

For anyone who has been with us through that transition knows how different things are now.

I will be sorely disappointed in anyone who wants to believe we were ever the "same company".
And I will be downright pissed at anyone who spreads this nonsense.

Phil and Daeron summarized a long story of how we got a publishing deal into 2 sentances. End of Story.

Matt Newman.

So, uh... is pretty much everyone representing PGI going to basically say "This is a non-issue. Good day."? This is very tone-deaf IMO.

Granted. You at least addressed the NGNG part. Posted Image

What's amazing is that this thread is not really about IGPGI, if one bothers to read it.
