"There will be more than a hat." So, two hats? I'm guessing they'll literally be selling 2 of the same hat.

Wait... aren't hats Team Fortress II's thing? Posted Image

In light of the recent controversy (and naturally, mismanagement from PGI) I strongly recommend anyone devoted to Mechcon to reconsider their ticket purchase if convenient. I, of course, am not nor would I tell anyone not to go do something they'd like, or to deliberately harm a company financial, just know that this is a serious issue and has yet to be addressed in full.

For some of you whom may be unaware, the controversy surrounding PGI at the moment (it's like a controversy of the week, isn't it?) is that members of NGNG, specifically those at the highest levels and who directly communicate "on our behalf" with PGI are under their employ.

Not only was this not stated, from the very start, but it represents a clear and very unhealthy conflict of interest.

Go to a place, sit through a presentation, eat stuff, get a hat. This just triggers tedious memories of a work conference I was subjected to.

That, and Tina posted a "Woops, guess I have to moderate a dev!" post on the thread about it, but completely ignored a post that has her name in the title.

PGI need to hire some of us for the marketing team.
I'd have all kinds of Swag.
Hats, Tee's, and blinging gold and diamond whale necklaces.
For the life of me I don't understand why PGI is so underwhelming.

Right. This displayed, at best, they really don't understand why we're upset or what the issue was. Joking is fine, but there are bad jokes and bad jokes can give the wrong perception. Actually, I think *I* displayed a better understanding AND leadership. Think PGI will be hiring? Posted Image

Btw. Your name IS Restos the Third, right? Or is it Restos-ull?

Ayep, Restos the Third. You wouldn't believe how many people try to say my name on VOIP in games and just mangle it all to hell. One of my favorites was restos-lil.

I'd just like to throw out how FASA used to invite people to convention booths.

Just embracing the PGI corporate culture, I guess.

You didnt know that NGNG was contracted by PGI to run Town Halls, do preview videos, etc? I knew that. It was mentioned a long time ago..

But yeah, I never thought NGNG represented player interests. There is a reason that InfoTech and Energy Draw, and most of the other stuff thay PGI puts out is defended by Sean Lang and Bombadil. I dont think i have ever heard them say something PGI did was bad.

Honestly, no. I knew that it was assumed they were, it made logical sense, but I never knew they took a paycheck from there! I also might add, if that Town Hall was more than a year and a half ago, I most definitely missed it.

I'm sorry I can't take snaps of the other Merch goods yet! We'd like to keep some of those things surprises for Mech_Con!
There won't be any "whoa!" and "wow!"'s if everyone know's what they will see and expect before the event.
(Trust me I'd very much love to Instagram all our decorations coming in too right now and show you guys everything already but everyone also can't wait to see your reactions upon your arrival at the venue!!)

Hope you can understand~

...Tina, I really think you're a wonderful person but... you've been very tone deaf these last few days. Is it you? Is Russ making you ignore the problem in the hopes it'll go away?

Are they on PGI payroll or are they contracted by PGI? If they are just contracted, they aren't really PGI employees. But i dont really see why this is an issue. Do you base your opinions and purchases off of Sean Langs opinions? I sure as hell don't. I also know for a fact that they dont represent my opinions to PGI. At least Bombadil seems like a good guy though, from what I remember when I met him at the steam launch party.
