Banked Premium Time.

I've been searching around a bit on these forums and google for any answers to a problem I currently have with my premium time but cannot seem to find an answer. I have also sent a Email to the mechwarrior support team about this but I have yet to hear back from them, but I was hoping to maybe find out some info in the mean time.
I have been taking a break from mechwarrior recently but I came back briefly to take advantage of the recent sales that have been going on. I wanted to buy some premium time with MC for when I returned to the game proper and wanted somewhere in the region of 60 days worth, since I heard it could be activated in 30 day chunks.
However the only options available in the in game store were 30 days and 180 days, so i figured I could buy two 30 day packs and have 60 days banked time total. But when I purchased a second 30 day package it activated all my premium time at once, so now I have 60 days worth of time ticking away which I did not want to happen.
I'm just curious to see if anyone else have had similar problems and if they could ever get it re-banked or refunded, since I'm really not in the position at the moment to play a whole lot, and the entire point was to buy it now while it was cheaper so I could activate it at a later date.
Anyway thank you for any help or advice.

When you buy premium time from the store, or if it's awarded as an event prize, it's activated immediately. The only way to get banked premium time is from buying mech packs. It's this banked premium time that you can activate in 30 day increments from your profile page on the website. Activating in game still activates all banked time.

I was under the impression that it was only smaller amounts under 30 days that would be activated on purchase. I am also sure when I brought the first 30 days It was banked and had the 'activate' button under it implying it was banked.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. The only way to get banked time is from mech packs. Any premium time from the store has always been activated when purchased.
EDIT - I'm fairly certain that if you explained to support what you said above in the OP they will likely refund your 2nd PT purchase.

Well I will admit, the only times I have ever had premium time was when buying mech packs and assumed it was standard for large amounts of time to be banked whether it was purchased with a pack or separate, this was the first time I have brought some separately.
But thank you for the info, I will have to be more mindful of this in the future.
I'll also let you know the results of my Email to the support people. I'm guessing they will tell me the same as what you have mentioned but we'll see what happens

In every situation, premium time is activated upon login (after redemption through codes or event bonuses) or immediately applied once bought in-game (whether it be premium time in the in-game store (gift store provides codes, which applies to redemption+login), or even a mastery pack that comes with it by default).

Hey 'My name',
Really sorry for the delay here on getting back to you. Premium Time acquired either through the in-game Store, through the redemption of a Premium Time Gift Code, or received as a reward from an official Tournament or Event, is considered Active Premium Time. When purchased through the in-game store Active Premium Time is automatically activated on your account at the time of purchase. When acquired through a Gift Code or Event reward, Active Premium Time is activated upon your next login.
Banked Premium Time, which can be activated manually whenever you choose, can only be acquired as a bonus item from purchasing a 'Mech Pack.
Thanks,

And I think it also says that in the details
Anyway
Check you're messages
And do me a solid of only redeeming once you think you have the time to play
There is no rush redeeming the code
It would be good for as long as MWO is around
Premium bought through the gift store (or rather everything in the gift store, can be given away, and redeemed at a later date)
Merry Christmas

PGI usually is good at refunding things when there was a genuine problem and/or concern about something. I would try that if i was you and you just spent cash on premium you know you cant use.

Ha
2 years of banked premium time
At the moment I'm playing some games that have been accumulated over time ;-)
At the moment mankind divided, then I'll probably go back to skyrim
If premium would tick away on a per match basis (or at least when you're logged into the client) I'd not only had all of it active, I'd also be totally crazy about getting more
Or if it came as MC is tend of banked premium
You could buy a day of premium when you need it
But now
Ehh
You know if you've been around 4 years it's hard to play often enough in a month to activate it
We'll see what mechcon holds

Me neither
I'd be fine with taking a loss in the conversation
Me thinks it would go a long way of making new and long time customers happy
I know there are a lot more players out there who didn't activate all that banked, because one cannot simply look ahead if you can make a MWO marathon often enough for it to be "worth" it

Yep, Premium Time is a rip off unless you can guarantee you will spend 75%+ of the time you purchased in MWO. This games business model has always been predatory and consumer unfriendly to say the least. I suggest spending money only on mechbays and using event-won mc for premium time personally.

Hey 'My name',
Unfortunately as a matter of policy, we don't refund any purchased premium time as these sales are all final. However that being said, as a one time only occurrence here I've gone ahead and injected your account with an additional 15 days of banked premium time due to any confusion.
Sorry I couldn't help you out more with this, and if you have any other questions about this then please feel free to let us know and we'll make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
Take care,
