After doing a few searches and paging through the active topics for features, I didn't see anything relevant to this (though I'm sure if I kept looking I could necro something).
I would like to see an improvement in the Reinforcement pop-ups.
1: Relevant only. For example, If I am part of FRR, I really shouldn't be able to help out with any attack/defense that is Kurita related. Likewise for any merc, the calls I see should be only for my current employer.
My understanding is that we should only be doing FW (CW?) for our faction, not anybody we want. To do otherwise is not satisfying lore-wise.
1a: Not specific to the reinforcement calls, but FW related, having info available, other than in lore, about who is allied with whom, would be great. An extension of this, just sayin', is that if the loyalists from a given faction could vote to temporarily ally with another faction (e.g., Davion and Liao) to deal with the oncoming Clan threat, that would then boost the number of reinforcement calls, still be satisfying lore-wise (agreements made and broken constantly), and promote some sort of community effort.
2: Group me! I want to do more faction warfare, I really do. If there is already a group going for my faction on either scouting or invasion (i.e., I see 9/12 (inv) or 3/4 (scout) on the planet reports), my clicking on the reinforcement banner should immediately pop me into the group.
I have seen this exact situation come up, I click on the banner, and I'm given the option to start my own group, not join the one that clearly prompted the banner.
2a: I realize that some folks might have their invasion/scouting group set to private. People might want to rethink that if they actually want to fill up (which just might <gasp> make the lfg tab a little more useful, assuming that's the problem, and the lfg tab is actually working as it should be).
2b: By the same token, if I see a planet report that clearly has only a partial group, seemingly for my faction (or allied), clicking on that report should get me involved.
This would help when I missed the reinforcement banner pop up or instantly (possibly mistakenly) dismissed it because it was covering whatever I was trying to look at.
3. Better placement? I, and others, have observed that the reinforcement pop-ups are annoyingly placed. Could it instead have a function more like the social tab alert? Perhaps the faction warfare tab should start blinking when you have a relevant reinforcement call to respond to? With that method, I can see there is something happening, it isn't in my way, and I can choose to look, rather than being forced to dismiss a sudden swarm pop-ups.
