Clan Mech Colours

Ok this one has been bugging me for a while, why is it I can paint my entire IS mechs in certain colours, but not my Clan mechs?

done deliberately so you have to buy patterns

Because PGI have a strange fetish to make people buy patterns on Clan Mechs, tho some without patterns look good when you choose nice colors to mix with the grey metal.

A less insidious explanation would be to further differentiate Clan and IS designs. But also maybe to make you buy camo.

I originally thought Clan warriors did not care about trivial things such as colorful camo, but then I saw Clan Hell's Horses' warrior.

If you desire to paint your Clans in a single mono-colour scheme, say Titianium White on all three channels for that Com Guard look, Mountain Line is the closest option. Has two seams but really only notice those in Mech Bay rather than while in motion in a match.
