I was brainstorming today and figured out a way to help the Shadow Cat in the hands of players who just can't get a handle on it without turning the mech into a monster. This is through adding a fictional variant, the Shadow Cat K.

The Shadow Cat K would take some cues from the Shadow Cat C which we can't have due to ammo switching issues.

So this mythical Shadow Cat K would have 2E in both arms, 1M in each side torso, and 2 ballistic either one in each side torso or both in the CT. Personally, I say both in the CT. So this isn't super amazing on the face. Now come the deeper changes, the CT loses MASC and MASC doesn't exist anywhere in the mech, freeing up two tons, and two slots. Each leg also loses a Jump Jet freeing up another ton. Another option is remove the jump jets in one leg and leave the other full allowing for a DHS to be thrown into the empty leg, this would be more useful and acceptable (but the DHS would not be fixed equipment as that defeats the purpose). This will give around 19 tons and a decent amount of hard points to select from.

This has another bonus, with 1JJ legs all Shadow Cats get an extra ton to play with, while still continuing to be a very agile and jumpy.

The stock load out I had come up with was (this is with using the one empty of JJ leg to put a non fixed DHS in):

For those who can't load the image:
Right Arm:
1xERLL
1xERML

Right Torso:
LRM10
1x 1 ton LRM Ammo
1x .5 ton MG Ammo

Center Torso:
2xMG

Left Torso:
1xLRM10
1x 1 ton LRM ammo

Left Arm:
1xERLL
1xERML

Both arms would have options for lower arm and hand actuators, because why not.

This would just be released for C-bills in an update. There is no super amazing changes or hard coding, this would give some more options to the Shadow Cat without breaking the mech itself. It allows a bit more min-maxing but nothing as far as I can see is outrageous.

If you come up with a build you feel is highly abuse-able with the release of essentially this omnipod set please do write it out and explain how it would be more abuse-able than other mechs out there atm. Why? Because I find it would be a useful data point. While yes this breaks from lore and all that, the only thing canon about the game is the basic load out of hero mechs PGI makes.
