A good afternoon of hype felt good. I was expecting this forum to be a Mad Max reenactment by this point. By tomorrow it should be worn off, and I can get back to being pessimistic, while still hoping for the best deep down. I just have one thing to tell you for now though PGI.
Don't **** it up.

Yeah people will be tossing around the labels (naysayer, salt, etc) but Mechwarrior 5 should bring about some sort of excitement in me. Alas, I feel nothing but apathy.
The defining series of my childhood is still in the hands of people I don't respect anymore. I'm getting a lot of feelings similar to the period between when The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones came out.

I'm getting a feeling similar to that of a passenger in a jet liner learning that the pilot, who had fallen unconscious due to being drunk, has finally woken up and is attempting to pull us out of a death dive. Do I have hope that he'll succeed? Despite all evidence to the contrary, I HOPE he does. Still have my wallet locked for now though compared to the days when I bought every mech pack, but i don't recoil in disgust at the thought of buying one of the few shinies I'm waiting for PGI to implement. (Mad Cat MK II, Kingfisher, Piranha, Firemoth, that's it) Would still require soul searching for them though.
