What is the best SRM route for the Archer 5W. I've been looking at these builds i built on Smurfy.

Artemis

NonArtemis

One has more accuracy one a lot more ammo. Which would is better? Which would you prefer? What is better than the proposed if any?

Also:

SRM4 Artemis

SRM4 NonArtemis

High Speed:

SRM4 320XL

SRM4 325XL <- Best speed and can infinitely chain-fire the 4 hand SRM2's for zero heat damage while twisting. Assuming it's hands can move sideways.

^The best builds always have the expensive engine upgrades.. 8\

I'm trying 8 SSRM-2s with 9 tons of ammo, BAP, 310 STD and only 2 points of armor shaved off. Works surprisingly well.

The correct answer is 5x SRM4, 4x SRM2 with a large standard engine, endo and 600-700 rounds of ammo. Your large XL builds are okay, the ones with artemis and small engines are not.

I was trying to avoid ghost heat. I did 4 to avoid it. And SRM2's don't have any until x6. What is the point of 5xSRM4?

There is another build it looks like it should be able to do but I'm assuming current game mechanics don't allow. Namely 2x20lrm; 2x15lrm; 2x10lrm; 3x5lrm... Which is a shame since it looks like this mech was designed for this build... It would be fun to use in such a way. Obviously with more ammo and whatnot. Not to mention all of those 20 openings and you can't fully use them... I would love a maximized Lrm160 Archer 5W. It would be more fun if the game let all mechs use maximum loadouts. It's not like we couldn't just load up large amount of AMS ammo and stuff to counter. Massive 1k LRM going off every match with counters would be a heck of a lot of fun.

And that last build easily translates to a SSRM build with free chainfire! I think I avoided it for the alpha ability of the other design. I personally get tired of things I can't simply alpha after a while. It's nice to be able to constant fire stuff massive loads. Although the guided part could be nice. You could chainfire parts of it and burst with other groups to keep the heat low. I assume groups of 3.

Chainfire group the middle 4 streaks for chainfire and the arms can fire with the belly button with the bely button being reused for each arm. Then you have a constant stream of fire... That would be interesting.

I made your (20/15/10/5)x2 build better. You could theoretically take this into a game.

LRM 100 ARC-5W
