Only factions of note aside from the Great Houses are the Magistracy of Canopus and Taurian Concordat.

I'd also add in Outworlds Alliance and Marion Hegemony (who had expanded quite a bit by this time).

Would be nice to include a few of the bandit kingdoms and pirate factions as well.

But I am holding out hope for Minnesota Tribe / Wolverines ;)

What's the point ?

Single bucket, only one attack lane what is the point in more factions now there is less to do with them, once the dekkel is out you have a clan, or a faction

Cause there are many who do not have a faction in game. Mostly Clan's but with just 2 buckets now. Why not?

On the one hand, I'd like to see St. Ives in the game.

On the other hand, I don't really care because the enforced "Only Clan vs IS except in certain rare occasions" has killed my conceptual interest in FW.

I'm not too into clan-lore (because stinkin' filthy clanners), but that's Clan Blood Spirit, right?
If anything, the name's pretty cool (though i still prefer the name "Goliath Scorpion")

BloodSpirit sounds like 90's emo and angst. Sounds like they all wear mirror shades, wear trench coats and carry katanas
Goliath Scorpion sounds like a BF Scorpion, and makes me think they all have Aussie accents.

I vote a move to 3059, and then we add the ARDC and make the game super complicated.

I have a confession to make. I prefer the Diamond Shark over the Sea Fox. It may sound weird, but I think it's a better brand image. You can make a shark look strong, powerful, intimidating, but you can also make it look cute and cuddly. A Sea Fox? It can look regal, or cute and cuddly, but it's a bit hard to make it intimidating.

Yes, but you never hear "Clever as a shark".... only "Clever as a Fox" and well Clan Sea Fox has always been cleaver, growing their merchant class as well as their industrial base put them in a good position once the invasion was done...

Edit:

spelling, thanks Restosll

Can't say I've ever heard 'Cleaver as a Fox' either.

Clever as a Fox is a phrase all Davions know, though.

This is win-win for PGI too because they can make medallions, cockpit items and paint schemes for all these new factions to sell. Folks can rank up in the factions too and it will add incentive to play Faction Warfare like they want.

Special weekend "Push back the Pirates!" on international pirate day.

Taurian weekend in May (Taurus sign)

etc, etc

Yes, yes we do. Oddly enough so do those of the Capellen Confederation....

First of all, FTFY Posted Image

Anyways, I understand the group that prefers the Sea Fox name, it's just a personal preference of mine. Probably heavily biased just because I love sharks IRL, and love the fact that there are species of sharks that basically act like dogs in how they interact with humans, being friendly and asking to be pet, while still being beautiful, but dangerous, animals. Plus, the phrase "Clever as a fox" is usually implying that you need to watch out because that person or group is sly and will backstab you, or weasel out of something. I don't want to be viewed as a backstabber or untrustworthy. Plus, I get to make jokes like this.

Now, if it was a seal instead of a Sea Fox, then I'd have trouble choosing.

Russ has said they will be able to add in more factions for FW now that they are on a 2 bucket system. Th is means other Clans! But brings up an interesting topic...for IS? What else could they add? Periphery states? Or add in larger Merc factions (Kellhounds, Wolf's dragoons, Grey Death Legion , ect.)

What is the point when factions will be devoid of any meaning with this change? Sell more dekkkels? Posted Image

Also camo's for each added now. What patterns stick out for that faction ect.

Totally unrelated but, word "hai" in estonian language means "shark" Posted Image

Adding more factions sounds cool, as long as we have two buckets.

Not that i would use them (because stinkin' filthy clanners), but they would set a precedent for glorious IS quads!

What, don't you like the Fire Scorpion?
