True.
Plus: With the announcement of a 100% refund when the skill tree hits the servers, you can excessively buy modules until then, knowing you'll get your C-Bills back in full.

What if this is their tactic hoping you would do this to drain your cbill coffers and when that date comes Russ comes out and says they have decided against this change and leave the module system in place which means no refunds...Pretty Sneaky huh? Posted Image

I disagree with the OP

the whole idea sends me into a state of depression
I have 56 Radar dep modules
I did not pay attention to the whole skill tree thing until today because all my Mechs except 3 are skilled up and moduled up
I have paid my dues on my Mechs
I consider it dishonorable to use any type of cheats to skill up my Mechs
true Mech warriors use XP

when I buy a Mech I test for my self every weapon and every combination of weapon which also means modules

this must be tested in game for FP and in QP
that's a lot of time and effort put into this game

I have over 15,000 drops since June 2014

336,000,000 c-bills coming back to you from the refund of your radar dep modules alone. That should be at least some comfort.

You would think it's a scrub thing to do "to leave it locked" but an advanced player will toggle it on demand and I'm one of those. It took some getting used to, yeah torso twist is very sluggish but eventually any PPFLD torso weapon build benefits highly from locked aiming. It's too much deviation with the accuracy otherwise, if I have no weapons on arms there is absolutely no reason to have arms unlinked.

I'm pretty sure the actual pro move is to turn mouse sensitivity down to minimum so you can still torso twist to spread damage effectively and aim precisely, locking your arms as needed when you need even more precision with the toggle but leaving them unlocked usually.

The negative side to this is where before you could change your loadout and customize by simply dropping in whatever module you needed to make the build work, soon your going to be locked into whatever build you specialize in.

Also if you were like me and only bought one, maybe two modules of any give type and just swapped them around as needed, Your going to have to invest a substantial amount of C-bills into every mech you own and your overall costs are likely to be much, much higher than they are currently.

But yeah, I am so not going to miss the Module Hunt mini game I had to continuously play.
