Thats more than both CW vid and Steam launch combined(almost twice as much). I guess the Solo part interest quite a lot of people.

They however put the vid in its own Home. Piranha games. Which makes sense since the other channel is called Mechwarrior Online. But we're maybe missing an opportunity to get more people interested in the Online part. I think it should be an "extension" of MWO rather than be completely segregated. MWO should be better associated with MW5.

Associating MW5 with MWO would probably be more of a bane than a boon...

We lost so much people this year, we should be trying to get more in.

400k is a lot of peeps, some are bound to be interested in MWO if its poking their eyes.

Only if they also make sure to link both Mechwarrior games to Bass Pro Shops: The Strike as well, a vastly unrecognized title.

What I meant was that MWO has a tainted reputation in many peoples' eyes, so distancing MW5 from MWO helps to reduce the amount of taint being carried over.

I'd divide the views by half since I'm pretty sure a lot of people watched it twice.

Considering that's small compared to the millions viewing cat videos, I'm not going to put much weight into it. Posted Image

Well, here's to hoping that the changes incoming and ongoing are well done and mostly enjoyable. Despite PGI's past misteps and problems I want MWO and MW5 to be both successful in the long run (and PGI too). If they aren't and PGI loses the rights, in that scenario, another studio probably won't touch it for another 10 years if ever.

Well, if you want to be a Debbie Downer, you could point out that a game like, say, Dawn of War 3, had it's trailer watched something like 2.4 million times in the same time frame. And that's not counting the dozens of 'official reposts' from video game news outlets.

400k ain't bad. Ain't great, but it ain't bad.

I genuinely want this to work, and be good

Just I refuse to get excited about it, or help fund P.G.I any more.

I know that may seem at odds but I've at least three chassis of every mech in the game but the Viper, and I think I've spent enough

Almost 800k in 3 months. Checkmate!

I have no idea why we're comparing view numbers right now.

400K/600K/whateverK vs. millions watching cats. I'm still not going to put much weight into it.

What matters is units [eventually] sold. PGI's history with MWO is not exactly a well-kept secret.

Lets not get our mothers involved in mwo. Im assuming they are the demo target of cat vids not mech games.

As if that's going to stop people from publicly connecting the dots anyway. Posted Image

It's... almost as if Battletech has a rather substantial following and people hoped for MechWarrior:V for a very long time now. Hmm... that can't be right. No. They wanted MechWarrior Online, that's what they were hyped for with the very first trailer for the game. Hey, want KOTOR III? It's online too. Posted Image
