I am a member of a lance sized unit that consists of friends who have been gaming together for the better part of 25 years. We want to do more faction play drops, but, we can't seem to get into a game without waiting for 30 minutes. We have been playing together for several months and have only actually played in two or three Faction Play matches.

The unit, 7MDG, has 4 or 5 regular players. We play when we have time to, at least weekly. We align ourselves as mercenaries and rotate our contracts between IS and Clan so that members can use their favorite mechs.

Is there a way to coordinate with other units (friendly and enemy) to put an evening of faction play together? We aren't really interested in joining another unit. However, we would be very interested in finding others in the same situation.

If this is mis-posted, my apologies to the reader and moderator.

Go to teamspeak for your current faction, find another group and form joined team through LFG.

I have been in my own little world and I am not familiar with all of the TS servers. Is there a list in the forums somewhere? Thanks for your help.

To be honest its all going to be up in the air once the patch hits as we don't know who has to ally with who....... Where before you'd be better allying with other units in your faction (even temporarily), that may not be required now. I haven't read up on it so I don't know.

However regardless of how the new patch plays out, just start talking to other units you get along with. Add people to your friends lists etc. There are plenty of social units out there that don't have heir heads stuck up their asses and are out to just have fun, the same as you guys are.

Look for the units that frequently play in your timezone. Get used to asking for their TS details, and start talking in VOIP. That's how we all do it really.

If you run into a few asses along the way, just ignore and keep on going.

Props to you and your Lancemates for actually wanting to play CW as designed!

With a CW patch a week away, I would spend the remaining time finding and joining various TS Faction Hubs. Get to know, as best one can, those players. Talk with them, drop with them, communicate!

A well oiled Lance of familiar players is a strong force not only to deal with but to have on your team.

You are already ahead of 'the game' now, you have a Lance of friends with experience playing as one. You took the first step, now take the next. Finding the eight others that will compliment each other. This can and will take some time, but do not stop! You WILL find others that do play as you and your friends. Take the time to find them and it WILL pay off for you and your friends.

Imagine the fun you can have with two more Lances that play and communicate as your Lance does.

Teamwork is the key to fun in CW.

Go here;

https://mwomercs.com...7-faction-play/

Right at the top you will see;

Faction - Inner Sphere
Faction - Clan
Faction Merc Corp

Within those threads are separate for each faction. Start going through those and you will see TS posts.

Do NOT give up on your search!!!!!

As Nags' said, the best route seems to be reaching out to other units and players that are active during your normally play hours. This way it is much easier to get a decent sized group and therefore quicker to fill out that all important 12 slots to get the lobby started. As for waiting on an enemy, this is mostly down to chance unless you have made friends that happen to be in an opposing faction at that time. Then you can jump on their TS or message them to get in the queue to face you.

TBH this is where the "Community" in the Community Warfa.....ooops, I meant Faction Play is important.

Thank you, all of you, for your advice. This is the first time I have seriously read the forums, I will be sure to become "more plugged in" to the community. By all means, please friend request me in game. My teammates and I will be happy drop beside you... or punch holes in you. Whichever you prefer. :)

Knowing you and your friends are experienced in Lance maneuvers, seek teamplay and cooperation, plus use VOIP, I will GLADLY add and seek those type of players out!!

Just get ya group of 4, jump into the queue... And... Wait.

While waiting, then surf the TS servers and find other people to team up with. TS hopping can take 10mins to round up troops, sometimes not at all (in quiet times)

I'd wait until the next patch for the updates to be implemented. Then cross your fingers and finally hope MW:5 becomes a thing and helps re-ignite interest.

Yeah, if you're looking for 6-8 dudes, Zito's mom is your best bet.

The House Davion TS Server is at ts50.bargainvoice.com:7345

Kurita Hub i believe is HouseKurita.tserverhq.com

Marik Hub is housemarik.enjinvoice.com

Steiner Hub is housesteiner.com

You will find similar hubs advertised around the recruiting areas for each other faction as mentioned plus the merc unit hubs and public servers..

If/When you come to the Davion TS, the Public FW rooms are right up near the top... Look for pilots gathering there for FW drops and dont be afraid to ask to join. The more 12 man rooms we can fill the better..

The rest of this stuff the others are talking about re: the patch and such isn't really relevant unless you were thinking of becoming a loyalist unit.. otherwise the map is Clan vs IS, just like it's gonna be in a short time more formally, only without any meaning of faction loyalty. As a merc unit you have no such worries really, so pick a side, find others to form a 12 man before you queue up (the only way to play this mode IMHO), and enjoy the matches and get them where you can.

Good luck..
