As others have said, shield arms in a heavy IS mech aren't new. And even if they were, the Champion has wings for arms, and a bulbous torso. There's every reason to believe that if it was released, the arms would be absolutely useless for shielding.

Just forget the Champion, it'd redefine bad mech.

BTW, the Anvil also has some good shield arms. It's only downside is it's 60t but if CW ever becomes fairly decent you could have 4 in a 240t dropdeck.
