I am about to get onto the first page fairly soon and all of a sudden I am being called ***** in match at the very start in chat, and getting trolled and insulted in VOIP. Something about players cheating was the pretense.

Same match a Cyclops was shooting team mates full burn in the back. Seriously.

I honestly think this was an attempt to get me banned.

Nah, they didn't call him a cheater.

They probably made fun of him for falsely spotting a cheater like almost every match he plays, and he once more didn't understand what was actually going on.

I dropped into the match and hadn't said a word before being called a *****.

Why was the Cyclops shooting full burns into team mates backs then. I seen him plain as day doing it.

Team was rushing out of tunnel and the Cyclops was sitting back in the tunnel shooting team mate to over heat when I seen him.

Never really see a reason to go up on the leaderboards in the game, it makes things more stressful espically if you playing more than one competitive game during your free time.

So in my humble opinion, the leaderboards is not that important.

They were almost certainly mocking you, if you have a propensity for calling others out for cheating.

You are also no where near the 'first page,' on the metric that actually matters.

I don't think 90% of players ever look at the boards. I highly doubt any flak you are catching has anything to do with the leader boards.

Like I read in another forum about calling out cheats, those that do deserve an award rather than being beat down by the pro hackers.

There have been complaints by others, they get the same treatment.

Of course they get treated badly. That's what happens when you make baseless accusations against random people - People treat you like a liar. And they treat you doubly bad if you just wont shut up about it.

Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, the reason that 99% of cheating accusations come from 1% of the userbase is because something is wrong with the 1%?

And the answer is that no, they aren't, even if they were you're no where near a position where they'd apply to you, and the most likely reason people are griefing you is almost certainly because they're sick and tired of hearing false cheating claims.

Leader-boards are most commonly used as a tool to sling mud around at other players - ie. dig up their stats to check their "qualifications" to make any arguments in this game.
