I guess, except the Marauder IIc looks pretty chunky so unless it gets durability quirked like the Linebacker, it's going to get torn up and torn up fast.

Now those 6 MG KCGs will feel extra useful... and if you're gonna shrink the gauss range could you get rid of the charge mechanic next month ? It does help nerf the PPC/Gauss combo a bit since the ranges no longer overlap so closely.

Oooohhhh and armor bonuses on the victor....

I always thought Long Toms could be similar to artillery in Battlefield 2. In Battlefield 2, the commander decided where to drop the artillery on the map with a cooldown. Everyone got ample warning and time to get away from the incoming artillery with a big red glaring indicator on their minimap. You don't have turn around looking for a colored smoke cloud like you had to in MWO. This artillery was not overpowered but it still served its tactical purpose in holding certain areas.

I could almost cry.

I skimmed these patch notes and all I can say is..... Yes !

Very excited to see how Escort works and if FP is worthwhile now. Am I assuming each match will take less time and there's no more 4 drops per match though?

1: Machine Gun Buffs are MUCH needed. This will help.
It would be nice if they'd have just left the lights with MG quirks, with the higher MG quirks, as they're often under-performing anyway - and I don't think the buffs will be enough to carry that alone.

2: The honestly minor buffs to lights are a good start.
Long way to go though.

3: 100% explode chance on Gauss why? That's absurd.
90% was already absurd...
A guaranteed explosion on crit is absolutely ridiculous.

Overall it looks like a REALLY solid patch though.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DISABLE QUICK PLAY FOR A DAY WHEN THIS LAUNCHES OR AT LEAST ADD AN ADVERTISEMENT TO THE QUICK PLAY BUTTON TELLING PEOPLE FACTION PLAY HAS CHANGED ! AND LAUNCH ESCORT MODE A WEEK AFTER THE FP/CW CHANGES ! or our playerbase is going to be split again

Yeah, back in the day like last patch (Nov) when their maximum range got cut down to 840 from something like 1100.

I am actually kind of OK with the Gauss explosion chance, The IS has their XL engine that will take them out on crit. Now, the Clan has a Gauss that will put the hurt on them if it goes. Carrying them in a side torso just got a bit more risky.

Last patch AC5's and UAC5's become unplayable for me. Now this patch i fear SRMS will be unplayable. They are moving us to Long range sniping/poking which i absolutely hate. Oh well cant make everyone happy.

At least they reduced the max range of the Gauss a bit. Plus if I can open up the armor and get close with my machine guns that thing is gonna go BOOM every time now. Well, the Clan ones will at least.

Can someone help clarify why the machine gun is stated here as 0.8 damage, when in the mechlab it is 0.08?
I can only assume that 10 shots are fired in a second, which would equal 0.8 damage per second.

........and yes i relise the damage is going to be increased.

EDIT: Gauss ammo dependancy (which also can easily get destroyed even if not harmful) - especially with FW getting multiple new modes all with respawn... good job.

EDIT_2: Oh, now I have accusive thoughts about creating sale incentives regarding the Supernova and Marauder IIC...



Remember that cLPL got normalized in November with a big reduction in max range so it is not all about inspiring everyone to go laser vomit again. Clan erLL still suck too because of duration. I think they are just trying to rein in weapon damage and range a bit to increase TTK and make more play styles viable.

Having a hard time taking this all in. All I have heard lately is laser vomiting, power draw(cancel delayed?), clan op. Now you buff heatsinks nerf gauss nerf srm. With faction play and respawns your a damn fool if your deck isn't all laser vomit..... two new clan Meta laser prime mechs for sale... but I'll go to positive MG buff nice Victor armor buff nice focus on faction play and listening that quick match modes easy transition.
