[SCHLIMMER BESTIMMER XXX]

I know its kinda irrational to bring this up but as a customer of cockpit items i woud
feel kinda pissed.You buy a mechpack, get a precious cockpit item which practically
proof that you are a supportet of the game, or just have too much money
(DAMN! the **** gettin wet in the basement!) by having it present in your cockpit.
The next thing you know, about 1 week later after release, they throw this stuff out
for free in (much apprechiated by me) a dedicated event.
Warhorns, Standing items, hanging items, YOU GET THEM ALL BY PAYING ZERO CENT.
Imo that is not ok (and no, i never bought a mechpack but i have a shitload of "exclusive"
cockpit swag, not to mention the countless other 750 mc cockpit items)
OK i play this game alot, but buying one of this items woud make me feel like an idiot
because there is really no reason to do so.
I EVEN HAVE A RESISTENCE 2 DOG TAG, normally achieved by buying a kinda expensive
IS mechpack (expensive obviously in the eye of the beholder)

Tldr:
FREE COCKPIT ITEMS ACHIEVED BY EVENTS ARE:

A: unfair to people who actually buyed content to get them
B: unfair to cockpit items which cost 750 mc, because they are kinda worthless throwaways now

Remember, you get the event warhorns and items as well. That means you just straight up have more of them than other players. You get to equip them on more mechs. So you're still "better off" than the plebians who didn't buy the pack.

First, the extra crap in the mech packs are sold as extra bonuses. They're pretty clear about this.

Second... which item are you talking about? The Kerensky Hologram is old as dirt.

I kind of understand what the OP is talking about.

Take the Pakhet Idol. I worked rather hard to earn that by getting into the top 75 on my Huntsman because at that point, it wasn't available anyway else and I thought it would be a really cool addition to my Pakhet. Now anyone can buy on so my "Award" that should have let anyone who is spectating me know that I was a top pilot on the leaderboard, means exactly squat.

On the other hand, I am kind of glad they are giving the cosmetic items away for free because I do like mounting Warhorns in my mechs and there is no way in hell I would spent 750-1000 MC to buy them so overall I will accept my leaderboard award being meaningless in exchange for all the "Free" Warhorns PGI wants to throw at me through events.

You know what. I have no less than 56 cockpit items I would gladly donate to the OP as well just to get them out of my inventory and many, if not most of them came from mech packs I have bought.

I wish PGI would make them sell-able for C-bills, maybe like 100k each because that way at least I would get some use out of them.

But he wants to be much more betterer than the plebians; it's only satisfactory if he can have things they simply can't at all, so his cockpit items show how much better he is than they are.

Yeah, the Phoenix Pack debacle was a mess there. PGI should never have gone the "limited edition" route for sure.

To be fair, though, it was a bit different, as PGI had specifically stated their Phoenix rewards were limited edition, never to be available again, where this has never otherwise been the case. Even then, though, I had no beef with them being available again. But PGI was in a bad spot there, as they'd used the "never available again" language very clearly, so if they DID make those available again, it'd be a huge shitstorm instead of just a random grouchy guy being sad because people can get for free what he paid for (despite no reason to think otherwise, and this being a F2P game it being pretty much centered around "pay for it quick and easy or work/grind for it").

It is, and i hate you for trying to put more things behind a paywall doubled with a temporary window of purchase.

How hard is it to make the same cockpit item but different colours? My Limited Edition of cheerleader in my Irongrid, why the hell cant people buy it in other colours? why isnt there 10 version with different skirts ffs?!?!?
