Would the new Skill Tree apply at a single mech only, or at the entire series?

I would prefer if it were singular mech-centric, if it means we can tune mech differently and just buy many mechs of the same or even different variant to tune them to our taste.

Pretty sure Russ said it was on a per-mech basis. So if you own 2 of the same variant, they each have their own tree.

Less of a hassle to get 3 of a kind. Kinda salty because i've spent lots of C-bills and $. eh now i'm free to go wild.

Hope you bought tons of mech bays during the sale! ;) Personally, I didn't grab any due to the fact that I though I'd get to buy Clan Diamond Shark dekkles this month. I was wrong. So now I'm sitting here with 0 free bays.

Sure will be fun being stuck with only 1 build per mech and being forced to meta cheese everything because of the grind involved to build it out, instead of being able to freely build a mech to do as you please when you need it to... (Notice, MASSIVE SARCASM)

You're going to need a lot more than this :)

They're not giving us a new skill tree just to be cool. Its a way for them give reasons to own more of the same mech.

So if you want a mech to be the best at sniping ,lasers, brawling, streaks, lrms, and so on you're going to need a ton of them :)

Did anyone hear if XP from sold off mech are being reimbursed as well? I would hope so, since under the current system I could buy it back and it would still be XP leveled.

If so, I can finally remove all traces of having bought a Commando back in closed beta- R&R, couldn't afford xl, played one night and gave up till open beta and they loosened up the economy. It was defiantly an experience!

I think i have almost 30 empty bays, this may possibly be the only positive thing i can see in whats been discussed. ...

After everything i put in to mastery and modules that will now be stripped from me.

So it's a cash grab. Make the players think that you are doing something good for them and then hit them with the enormous CB/MC bill. No more swapping out that Raven sniper build for the narc striker. You'll have to have two different ones in your dropship.

I guess the safe option would be to research the top meta build for each mech you own and develop them for that before been able to afford backups to experiment with.

Perhaps this won't initially encourage much diversity untill players have their existing lineups sorted and start working on building alternative variants.
