... To the Imp and the Flashman?
Lets look at this bio-mech-logically.

The Urbanmech came out in 2675.
The Flashman came out in 2701.
The Imp came out in 3050.

The Urbanmech is a Light Mech.
The Flashman is a Heavy Mech.
The Imp is an Assault Mech.

They all carry the similar design of Trashcanius Mechanius.

It's a theory, but if I can find the missing link - the elusive Trashcanius Mediumous, then I can settle once and for all what the family, if at all, the Urbanmech has in Battletech.

The serious answer is no. The only battlemech 'related' to the Urbanmech is the Urbanmech IIC.

Joke answer... Afraid I can't help you there.

Ah yes of course! Mackius Trashcanius Mechanius! How could I forget? Alright, here's what I can think of now.

The Mackius Trashcanius Mechanius "Mackie" was the original mechanical-organism for all 'Mech life. Among many of it's trees was the one that inherited its shape and body-type which kept it's Trashcanius surname. This 'Mech would eventually evolve into a more stable form we call the "Urbanmech", which would be domesticated for City-Defense. At the same time, a group of Urbanmechs would become stranded and separated from the main body in a harsher environment from the city.

Over time these Urbanmechs, through evolution and mutations, would eventually become what we call the "Flashman" or Overheatus Trashcanius Mechanius. While it retained some of it's originally body shape, it would become renowned for it's strength, height, and use of energy weapons for which it's domestication would be from the militaries of the Inner Sphere.

Through selective breeding and improving genetic-engineering, the Clan's would eventually developed the Urbanmech IIC as well as, what could be considered the Clan equivalent of the Flashman. This Mech, named the "Imp", would be classified as Impus Trashcanius Mechanius.

At this time, though, no one can find the missing link between the Flashman and the Urbanmech. It is a mystery.

Weird, I looked at the Sarna net Mackie entry and while I usually trust Sanra - my old memory tells me that it was lore that the first "Assault" mechs were around 80 tons and it took a while from the Mackie's era before 90 and 100 ton mechs could be built.

Not that this is important to MWO.
