Illegal.

They can be gotten without thieving them, and at reasonable prices.

Oops... wasn't aware, listed by author and whatnot, ah well. I am enjoying them so will be pursuing more tangible copies anyhow, good for karma :)

Don't know about finding the old BT novels on any E-readers. Though I've seen the Dark Age series on Kindle and such.

I have a whole shelf in my room devoted to Battle Tech.

If you don't mind getting the physical book, go to the Barnes and Noble's site, that's where I've gotten all of mine from. Most of the books are less than $5, so yes, you will spend more on S&H than on the actual books.

Ok... once again:

The battletech books are not under a free license. There is no legal free source for them. If you want them you have to buy them. Please do not advertise links that provide those books for free, unless it is an official battletech site owned by either Catalyst Game Labs, Topps or one with a licence from either, to distribute those books.

A good source for them is Battlecorps.com.

Why do I have to post this every time someone asks for those books?

[redacted] You might ask the people that run the forums to add that website to the ninjabot and have the ninjabot add a standard answer where the link was...

Probably because "don't be evil" google is being evil when people search for the books. You might ask the people that run the forums to add that website to the ninjabot and have the ninjabot add a standard answer where the link was...

I have done that (asking) a few minutes ago.

I suggested two possible replacements:
- linking to battlecorp instead
- a text explaining the removal.

If it is the later and if it is then reposted, in a way that circumvents the filter, the user doing so, will leave the moderation team no other choice then to moderate him for pirated content.
