Making a Victor work really requires some god-like twisting and positioning or just plain bad enemys. It's way to easy to disable it and it doesn't bring the firepower to actually justify the lack of durability. Though, the quirks help quite a bit in that regard now.

..... now I kinda want to drop in my Dragon Slayer again. Posted Image

It was basic. I've never mastered them before. and I did 1K in one of my first few matches today than in the 2-3 years that I've attempted with it. I would say it's better than it has been.

my dude this is a weirdly hostile thing to say. it's like you think he's insulting you directly?

anyway the Victor has been quite bad for a while. it's hugely oversized, requires an XL, has low mounts, and the missile tubes are borked up so they come out in waves. The armor buff was way overdue

Don't forget it's jumpjets and turn speed were nerfed (not quite as much as the Highlander, but still), and after the clans came it out it really doesn't have enough speed to be a proper brawler.

A few of us took out the DS, the 9S and 9B with various builds with both XL and std.

I won't pretend that the results were great...but given that these are Victors we are talking about...the results were pretty great.
I will still argue that given the load outs you are capable of putting on a Vic various heavies are a better choice but the difference turning that structure into armor via the last quirk pass makes them finally playable if not yet quite enjoyable (that would take better jump jets and fixed tube counts).
