Escort mode is terrible. It doesn't matter how much armor you give it, or how many turrets you add, it will be a crap game mode.

Literally, what kind of "game developer" purposely puts a escort mission into a game that isn't even story based, knowing that escort missions are the Bain of every gamers existence ever since the beginning of gaming.

How much money did y'all sink into this game mode?

All this is, is a distraction to artificially "Fluff" MechGotConned2016 news. Spend less time on useless ventures like this game mode, and more time polishing graphics, fixing invisible walls, and general performance enhancements.

Even while stone cold drunk, reminiscing about playing MW2 on the FRR hub did I EVER ask for an escort mode in this game. I really don't know where the idea came from... Maybe from one of their focus groups of "top tier" players.

I am quite a veteran of this game with far more experience and understanding of the short comings of PGI since the beginning, also far more involved in the community then you will ever be. **** posting memes in response to things your brain doesn't understand doesn't take a whole lot of effort. How about you create a educated well written response and then we will let you come sit at the big kids table.

Well, the problem is everyone has different ideas of what PGI "should" be focusing on. A top criticism is that all the gamemodes are just team death match, and they would like more variety in that regard. And frankly, Overwatch's escort game mode is pretty fun, but it plays differently than this one.

Played 3 Escort matches tonight. Won 3 escort matches under 3 different win conditions on 3 different maps. Haven't seen anything that doesn't work in it. VIP is tanky but still possible to bring down. Pathing is less than direct but still gets to the drop zone in decent time. Multiple approaches for the attacking side to use.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with it.

It seems, much like conquest, that this is a mode where the whole team has to be on the ball or the whole team fails together. I don't mind that.

My biggest gripe, it doesn't seem like there's mode-specific scoring. I didn't see bonuses for things like remaining nearby the VIP, like you get by staying with your lance... or doing or taking damage while adjacent to the VIP, etc. Has anyone else seen any bonuses like that? Realistically, those sorts of bonuses should absolutely be in there to reward players for playing the objective. Sucks to escort the VIP across the map and get no score because you did your job.

The amount of salt about escort astounds me. Sure, it's unbalanced and could have been way better if it was a convoy instead of Mr. Fatlas, but at least PGI is trying. And it seems like they actually... care for the first time in forever? Honestly, I'm having trouble getting salty about any of this. Now, if it somehow gets more imbalanced, or isn't touched at all, then I'll get salty.

You lost me at "You People." You really lost me when you then started yelling about "community" while telling someone whose account is literally twice as old as yours is how much more you know than he ever will.

If the game is that bad quit - if you're about to hammer out something about how much money you've spent and how you're entitled to the game you want, then go take remedial economics. Ask the teacher about sunk cost. I seriously don't understand how people who post such toxic diatribes are still here. It wrecks credibility, you know?

More so than Conquest, which is a good - though often frustrating - thing.

or I like the guy trying to block the VIP Mech and spent half the match shooting the VIP Mech

This isn't a very large community. With that said, just because you have had an account for a long time, doesn't mean you are of any use to any one. Tier doesn't mean a whole lot, but if he hasn't even grinded the experience bar to T2 yet, that tells me he should spend less time playing forum warrior and more time playing the actual game.

It shouldn't. Anyone can get upset at the devs, but the people that put out this level (and especially this type) of vitriol have started using their frustration with PGI as a starting point for their reasoning, instead of a conclusion. So everything is bad, PGI is evil, and greedy, and scamming everyone, and simultaneously too stupid to do anything right... and yet the game is alive and the carpers are still here. Some of them have moved on, but even the ones who've "quit" have been known to just keep on carping, or worse - some have been banned from talking about MWO (the subject is forbidden) on the Star Citizens forums, or engaging misinformation campaigns in a (laughable and ineffective) bid to sabotage the Steam release.

I wish someone would roll up with a 1980s deprogramming van and just teach them all about sunk cost.

Oh if only salvage was still around.

And only if you were escorting a vehicle carrying salvage. And only if you didn't know what salvage you were escorting. And the winner got to split the salvage. Then you would have a game mode with meaningful context and rewards.

Still I am glad for another game mode because IT CAN BE IMPROVED. If we had nothing then there would be nothing to build on.

I could some what see that, though AI isn't some new thing to gaming. MWO is a pretty unique game, but still not so unique they can't develop or contract decent AI.

Maybe have heavily armored Mobile Field HQs moving from point to point. Both teams have to both defend their VIPS and Attack the enemy Mobile Field HQs. Gives both teams something to loose.

Lol, no idea at all, pretty typical, I spend most of my time in FP when I am on and there are matches to be had, QP is for leveling mechs or just having a little fun, so you dont see all the matches I play cause FP matches dont count on the leader board.

Way to tell only half the story bruh.
