PGI has all the art and probably has a person eager to make such a page? Why not make a PDF or webpage for this under the game resources tab? Give summary and basic info on all the chassis and can be updated as more are added. Put info in on the few support vehicles/turrets/dropships as well.

Kinda curious if this would be popular and have support from us or not.

Because putting lore in the game seems to be a crime. I've suggested many times they have a lore button for each mech in the mechlab.

Your idea is good too I'd like both.

Will it happen?

Most likely not.

The entire initial page when looking at a mech should be lore/art of the mech in action or what ever and then specs as a button.

Would even better if there were vr mech dealerships or requisitions.

You folks sure are expecting a lot from a game which by design is a Minimally Viable Product@.

Hey, I just want to slowly but surely remove the M from MVP. Then the V. Once we have just the P, I'll be happy. (Unless it lacks CDS and the Mad Cat MK2, then I'll never be happy)

Minimally Viable Product
-M
Viable Product (that's good!)
-V
Product (not as good, can't even be called viable)

VP > P > MVP

If you have to label your product as viable, it ain't a good product ;)

If you can't call your product viable, it's not worth the money to maintain and you drop it. D:

Let the product speak for itself.

MWO would benefit greatly from an in-game "Mechipedia" tab.. The term "Mechipedia" is a throwback to X-Com's "Ufopedia"

Basically, YES; we want detailed descriptions and technical specks of every single thing in the game..

How do mech's work? Who made them? Why were they made? How were they used historically? What is the technical difference between a leaser and a pulse laser?

WHY do we still need Sarna for this info?

Also, many mechs have so much data released before they hit the battlefields.. When we're considering a new mech, YES, we would like a nice video from it's cockpit, we would like some info pics, we would like a video of it in-game..

Why can't we have some immersion in this game?

Some people put a TRO together for the Battletech game. I have read through it and it's really well done. If fans can do this for BT I fail to see why PGI can't encourage some fans to do it for MWO.

I have seen that, and it is very well done indeed. Wish MWO would do that for here and link it for new players, and those of us who are bored.

Honestly the sooner they can add a "Encyclopedia" like MechCommander 2 had, the better.
