OK,
But if health is reduced because a components occupies less space (so, its smaller in regard to its IS counterpart), then
the Critical chance for the component must also be reduced, since its smaller, so logically its a smaller target.
And if its a smaller target, then the chance of hitting that component is smaller if there are structure and armor slots present in the omnipod.

Crit chance depends on the weapon firing, not the component hit.

Clan double heat sinks take 2 crit slots vs IS double heat sinks occupying 3 which already affects their chances of being hit.
