My idea is:
If the map or a game mode is unpopular among players, then give it a XP or CB bonus for the winning team.
Or, lets forget about popularity, another idea is:
A player has bought a new mech, now, maybe he is short on CB, also he wants to unlock efficiencies so he needs XP.
Then, let the game system, randomly assign for all 4 maps and/or game modes in the voting pre-match stage, which map or game mode gets an XP bonus and which gets a CB bonus, that is visible to all the players in that match.
The bonus does not has to be a percentage of total CB or XP earned, it can be a fixed value.
So the decision of the player - what map or game mode to choose will not only be based on - if he likes this map or game mode or not, but also on - what presents greater interest to him at that time: XP or CB .
