I necro this and would like to know whcih Mech OP has chosen and how he feels with his decision.

Why is no one ever writign back what he decided for and how it went?

Good point.

Amazed so few comments as to the Huntsmen and then I saw the dates....

Pakhet with 4 ASRM6's and 3 SPL is very good in brawls. Heat management is critical though.

Overall the current clan choices at 50 tons are great: Nova (JJ/laser vomit); Hunchback IIC (ballistics) and Huntsmen (SRM brawler).

But then I love mediums.

I think you could also do that SRM brawl setup with the P variant of the Huntsman, without buying the hero.

You can but unfortunately you'd have to run most of your launchers in the arms rather than the shoulder height hardpoints on the Pakhet. On the good side you could add the SPL to the torsoes rather than spreading them out but I like the pinpoint accuracy to exploit the missile damage, plus if I lose an arm its just 1 SPL rather than two launchers.

I will admit the Pakhet is the only hero I have two of (for my brawler FP deck).

Yeah, of course with the hero you definitely have a better build.
PS I did not even know that you could own multiple copy of the same hero in MWO, I thought it was limited on one copy

Yes you can have as many as you want but you can only buy one pack - I got the pack and later a second copy in a sale.

I wouldn't really recommend it but I do love it.
