The MIIC seem to be a strong tank, I've seen 2-3 in almost every quickplay and almost everyone of them is running around down to 15%-18% armor, still fighting, it is ridiculous.

So if you want to go for the structure achievement, this seems to be the right mech to go for.

Had plenty of good games.

But I've had plenty of bad games in it too where I have lost a torso almost immediately to huge long range alphas or been ultra-lurmed while the team just sat behind probably admiring the UAV above me like it was a Christmas star.

So its still an assault mech.

The Dire Wolf Prime can do the same.

You missed the point about it still being fuly actuaded, meaning side to side aim. Also a dire wolf is much less tanky because of fat hitboxes and has much worse agility overall.

It's good. It's not great and it's not bad, just "good." I'm going to name at least one variant "Goldilocks" because even without quirks it feels just right.

Though TBF, it's probably only quirkless because of the impending skill tree change. I mean, even the KDK got quirk on release. To say that PGI did not plan to quirk the marauder IIC originally? Not likely.

----------

It's weird, but I kinda felt like the Marauder IIC is what the EBJ is supposed to be. They have similar hardpoint profile. The marauder IIC is tough as nail. Which... if reading the sarna info on EBJ is correct...

"Named after the zombies of Irish myth, Inner Sphere warriors that first encountered it during the Battle of Luthien called this 'Mech the Cauldron-Born."

Unkillable zombie is my initial assessment of the marauder iic... which kept reminding me of the EBJ lore.

Very solid. Easily getting 600+ damage with only basic. No complaints so far.

Purchased the basic pack, and I'm easily having as much fun with it as I had (and still do) with my Huntsman. It's a matter of finding the right options that really fit your playstyle, and the mech delivers on options.

The 375XL on the basic IIC does a splendid job, and I've broken 1k a half dozen times with it using 3 ER PPC's, 6 ER Small and 27 heat sinks (have to go standard armor but keep endo for this). Being able to chuck a steady stream of single PPC's for fire suppression as well as deliver a trio of shots in quick succession, 45 degree twist, and fire 3 more has backed off enemy assaults from closing in like, every time. I like the range of the weapons and the speed of the engine to allow for more flexibility on seeking cover / closing in / backing off to maintain a prime distance.

I'm on my way to finishing elite-ing all of them, just a few skill boxes and I'll be ready to master.

I think it sits in a unique place where the handling, speed, and firepower all feel like you'd expect and feel satisfying. Easily the funnest mech to pilot, granted I haven't broken the 1000 damage ceiling with it yet like I have my heavies.

I'm just crossing my fingers it doesn't get ruined. I finally found a mech that feels good to use at any range and doesn't feel annoying to pilot.

The side torsos feel a little light on armor, if I'm going to complain about anything. But I guess it'd be OP if they were stronger.
