I have played for a while and have spent a long time piloting both factions mechs at one point or another, so have little bias either way. I like a lot of mechs from both factions.

Clans were OP when they first launched, then they got nerfed somewhat into line.

They are power creeping back into the land of OP again now with more clan battlemechs being brought out.

Thats my observation.

To say the truth i really like latest changes, taking into account they covered part of flaws in MWO i was yelling about the other day. But it appears PGI lack of understanding and will to bring proper changes to heat system, balance and make it accurate and up to standard(no crunch is a real model for SDLC) - cause players to loose interested and get frustration towards Battletech universe. It is disservice. Good way of bad advertisement and loosing player base, even though i'm sure you had peek online after last patch. I'm sure it will soon end and due to frustration players would leave. Well it was the case for me a while ago.

PGI you need to wisely think what and how you are going to do. And whatever you do make sure you are not causing people to go away. Me and my friend actually tried to bring those friends and introduce them to the game. But then - this happens.

P.S. there are tons of ways about how to introduce players to the game and even more on how to keep them in game. But the best way is the game itself and a face of company who creates it and it kind of looks ugly.
PGI you management needs to think how to make people less frustrated. For example not introducing raw material to the game, or at least if you do make it suck as much as it could be and then improve it, which creates positive impression and feedback.
Then this stupid decision with tonnage. Okay maybe you did not see any other way, but at least you could do it in a while and you could notify people, so they could prepare accordingly. Don't treat people like waste, especially when you relay on them.
Its those decision that blur everything and make something promising look like it does not worth your time.

With practices like that i cant recommend the game to my other friends as it probably will end same way.

Great post!!!! I am afraid it will fall on death ears. Whoever is running the show these days is obviously not in it for the long haul. They want fast money and don't give a crap about the long-term repercussions of their massively failed decisions. I've seen this happen a dozen times. Good for them as they con players into buying new mechs just to water them down and then bilk more money for the new, new mech that will also be nerfed.

What is laughable is to see some players defend this short-sighted, screw the purchaser approach for the sake of fast money. Some people recognize when they are being had. Others not so much. I won't be buying anything else from these scam-running MWO con-artists. Fool me once shame on you. Yet some players have actually convinced themselves this is good for the MWO gaming community.

Keep this nonsense up and the number of players (with a brain) will eventually fade away. PGI doesn't care because they are all about making fast money with their latest and greatest mech sale scams.

Bunch of crooks.

@ChiGuy1, are you seriously complaining about the monetization method PGI chooses for their FREE TO PLAY game? If you don't like it don't pay :S duh.

There should be no lower limit for drops. 160t is simply too much for people who like Light/Medium mechs.

I would actually give my remaining tonnage to original poster, so with mine prefered 120t drop weight he could run his 240t + 120t = 360t drop deck.

What would be really cool;

Remove the "balance" from IS to clan. Let the clan mechsooo be in thier full glory.
Induce batchall,have the clan get bonus c-bill/Mc for comming up with a force to attack/defend that is less tonnage and penalize them for going over. and force clans to use star/galaxy formations

IS gets to bring what they got, (per max player count) as the planet would have had as a garrison plus2 players for a 10 man clan deck and 4 for a 15

MAKE BIGGER MAPS!!! Because a lot of the maps right now are almost corridor shooters. I wouldon't like to see more options of aproch with the objectives (too many chokepoints)

Buffalo the crap out of the Droppships weapons to discourage spawn camping.

Turrets need to be a little more than just a tickle for heavy stuff and higher. Where's my calliope turrets?

If they do this it will open up a huge ammount of diverse play.. justhe a thought. Let me know what you think

Whinge Whinge Bloody Whinge . Its funny when Clans complain about IS being OP . Well lets just remove all the quirks on all the mechs , Then lets remove all the clan tech that the IS does not have like Streaks 4s and 6s . remove clan UAC 2 , 10 , 20 and make their UAC fire only 1 projectile at a time like IS UACs etc etc . The list just go on and on and on and you whinge about it .

ohhh another quirk = skill warrior come to here
Clans Weapons should be better, but not
clans Mech should be better, but not
and even get 10 vs 12 not 12 vs 16 assuming Quirks and hitreg

Anything that nourishes a more robust and diverse gaming experience is always a plus. Degrading performance and/or options to make all mechs perform the same stands in direct contrast to this end. Its a good scam though.

Go back to TT lorenard.

This a FPS game BASED on Battletech. Seeing as it is a FPS game there 'should' be balance between the 2 sides. In a PvP game you are heavily reliant on players to keep playing the game, do you think the side that is inferior is going to keep playing?

I personally love the welfare weight advantage. Just more potential damage for me to shoot through. Please keep complaining IS. Your only driving my damage and KMDD up.

From what Im reading the REAL PROBLEM is MERCS...... They can switch sides at the drop of a hat, When some of the better Merc units switch sides ... the rest of the Mercs follow so they dont have to fight each other...

SOLUTION.... Limit the number of merc units on a given side... If IS or Clan has too many merc units on their side don't allow new contracts... Force mercs to fight on both sides....

PGI already said they changed the tonnage because of skill base....

so they are punishing the clan players for being better at the game...

I like clan and now my opponents are tougher...So I'm getting better faster because the game is harder for me...

I would have no problem with this to a certain level... I like to play all my mechs, that's the main reason I went merc. So long as I get to play any of my mechs at least some of the time, I have no problems with it.
