If cw is a perma single que clan vs is it couldnt hurt to have another permanent is vs is que seeing how so much has been thrown out the window, so at least we can have some is vs is battles now and then when you get sick of clan vs is.

Yeah, it would be pretty cool. Too late though, probably. Imagine if PGI had done this in 2014.

this will probably come as kind of event from time to time. It is the same old problem, not enough players for all factions to have an own bucket. I'd take exclusive inner sphere fights every day though.

The new FP rewards are a lot better which is great. The new queue is a lot better to. More game modes and maps, great. Now if FFA was in the mix and a few other things FP would be awesome.

If it was up to me. QP would only be Clan vs Clan, IS vs IS and Clan vs IS. No mixed teams.

But this wouldn't work right now, because Clan and IS mechs haven't been balanced since... ever.

This is what most people asked for in that 50+ page feedback thread that Bombadil started.

We wanted alliances, even if they were just hardcoded alliances, so that there were two blobs of Clans and two blobs of IS.. which would mean permanent CvsC / CvsIS / ISvsIS..

..but Russler couldn't figure out how to code that.

I would not try something like that until the current clan vs IS queue has been balanced well and seems to be stable enough to sustain extra divisions of the player base. Adding IS vs IS would reduce the number of IS fighting clans, it could be very problematic.

I like the idea in principle though, not against it, I just want them to be careful at this stage so FW doesn't break down again.

To really work, I think only Loyalists should be able to pick which queue they enter, versus opposing tech or versus their own tech.. with Mercenaries just getting a button that slaps them into the queue they're needed in the most.

..but, again.. anything other than one side versus one side is probably outside of what PGI's coders could figure out how to put together.

Why would FFA be a mode in FP? Other than an all Marik drop anyway...

I'm no fan of how communication goes, but they have said they want to have events with IS vs IS, etc. I think they have figured it out but didn't want to do it right off the bat if it didn't make this mode which isn't great any better. Better to take away as many buckets as possible, see how it rolls in the long term (as in, a month or two so things settle) then add things back in to make it more interesting.

PGI is slow in all things, that is part of why they get so much flak.

I think I'm ok with these IS vs IS and clan vs clan things being special events as it will cause a small hype increase in FP when that mode gets to a low point or they want to promote something.

I think everyone wants them to get it right, seems most agree this step was a good one so far.
