Koniving, fun fact: in MW4:mercenaries, my favorite assault mech for Solaris arena challenges was Daishi on slowest engine, loaded with, if my memory serves me right, five LB-X AC/20. Shot alltogether, the volley could make an Atlas trip over from the sheer impact force. An Atlas! Fun times.
In mwo though, situation is like this. Uac has 15% and c-uac has 17% probability to jam, however i'm seeing this as a sort of an opposite: uac has 85% and c-uac has 83% chance to double its burst dps potential. That is, twice as much damage as lbx of same caliber does in a shot. Sure, at close distances lbx shot is tight enough to momentarily damage single component, but again, at those close distances, heavy/assault mech won't make it in time to torsotwist from uac doubleshot, even if it takes longer to fire than lbx. Uac is hotter? That just means that one should play from cover with it, giving it time to unjam and cool off, all at the same time avoiding enemy return fire.

Press and hold the fire button.
If the UAC jamms before running out of ammo, replace your mouse.

Koniving, there's reasons why uac20 and c-lb20x (i assume that it was clan lbx, because there is no IS lbx20) aren't, i believe, that much popular. These guns are way too niche.
NO, not niche because of the range. Compare to SRMs. SRM sa re short range but powerful.
UAC20 is bad because:
Its shells are spread over too far distance.
It requires too much face time for a double tap.(brawl skill for defense is twisting incoming damage)
Shell velocity is too slow meaning you cant really lead shots moving across your screen. If a target sits still or is moving straight at you it works great.
Ghost heat is brutal for double tapping 2UAC20(almost 99%)
LBX20:
Spreads damage too much past 200m.
Is the heavy AC of choice for Clan brawlers, like the LBX20+4ASRM6 Spirit Bear. 'Fire and forget' allows you to aim-fire-twist...which is good for brawling.
LBX20 is fairly cool.
LBX AC crit system is a joke, but really the crit-system as a whole for MWO is a joke. Bad implementation, transliteration from BattleTech.
So in short, LB20 has some brawl merit. UAC20 is bad but passable on a Summoner which has heavy Velocity, Cooldown, and Jam % quirks.
