At this point it is safe to say Faction Warfare 4.1 is a clustermuck.

Clans +153 in planets
I.S. +0

If this was a prizefight it would have been stopped along time ago.

I wonder why PGI didn't see this coming.

Because i did,

I'm not really sure what the incentives are for

1. Loyalist
2. Small units.
3. I.S. side in general.

With the launch of the Maurader IIc this month, most mercs will be on the clan side. We will still have a population imbalance and a tech imbalance. Add to that the pugVpug scouting imbalance and you will have most of the same ingredients for failure as phase 3.

At this point I'd rather PGI waited to launch phase 4 until the new rewards system and the new skills system are in place.

Wait till most top merc units take clan contracts at the start of 4.1
They'll get their superior clan tech and their shiny new Mauraders IIc.

What does this leave the I.S. with?
A few loyalist and puggles.

It's not just the Kodiaks.

I'm not alone. Many others on this forum saw the same things.

This post is not meant to be constructive, it's meant to be cathartic.

With that being said

Dude, these forums are nothing if not a place for cathartic venting of "what could be", "what should be", "they did what!?", "Why do they do these things!?" and lets not forget "They advertised X (something cool) and delivered only Y (something crappy and/or broken)"

So by all means catharsize away. Its not like a "constructive thread" is going to fix anything.

If I recall, I didn't disagree. But Bud is right, nice place to vent and get rid of some of that negative energy.

Just getting it all out is constructive -- or at least that is what my mom told me when I was little -- 1/2 a century ago.

this ******** is exactly what you get when you have an echo chamber of mercs saying this will be a good idea.

Vent. Full coolant flush...

I guess I'm on the list. Sigh. So want to see FW firing on all cyclinders....but...

Warned in Sept. that QP in FW with respawn and no matchmaker would be a disastrous repeat of Invasion. Suggested single spawn with weight bumping matchmaker.

Warned that zooming out from planets with greater abstraction (tug-o-war) was counter to more immersion.

Warned that if it must be Clan v. IS, single bucket is not necessary. Players gravitate to battles. Suggested all buckets visible.

Honestly, there wasn't enough drawback to being a merc.... Mercenaries should have had a $1000 cbill per ton drop fee -- requiring merc units to work their butts off to earn back their drop fees and extra money. It's not like they have the entire tax-base of a few planets to write off the cost of a dropship/fuel/support infrastructure/repair and reload.

If you were a good merc unit, you should have made a Scat-ton of money and if you were not a good merc unit -- you should have lost your shirt.
